One other thing about having a log in page as the only page to show up. Unless you are doing something different for the search engines (such as google), you will never have any of your content listed and that will cut drastically into potential visitors.
I'm just saying be aware that google and other search engines that will index the threads on your site (if they could see them) can drive many, many people to find it.
Most search engines have a submit tool but it won't do you much good if all they see is a log in page. Won't be many search terms for them to archive there. Here's google's, though http://www.google.com/addurl/
