BTW Bridghazi isn't my creation. It is a satirical poke at the Right-wing fixation and use of the deaths of 3 Americans in Benghazi purely for political purposes.

Now that we have an actual provable scandal involving State Administration officials at several levels of the government and the GOP political machine, we are supposed to just drop it and move on even before the subpenas have been addressed. It is just such a hypocritical double-standard that satire is the only way to address it, hence, Bridghazi.

You must be referring the the carnival barker and clown car parade known as the GOP 2012 primary. 2016 should be even funnier.

The scary thing is how many votes they got. Imagine if they find a sane candidate?

Wouldn't one have to exist before they could find one? The insane base of the extremist GOP Party or Tea Party doesn't have a sane member to draw on. Americans have no interest is the crap they are selling outside of their own shrinking ranks. They have successfully alienated women, minorities, immigrants, the LGBT community, and anyone with two brain cells or more still active. That only leaves their white, old, racist, homophobic, bigoted, ilk and they are hardly able to win with that group of losers.

I don't see any real threat comin', but then again my vision isn't perfect. Someone could come along and inspire the republicans someday, and that needs to be addressed, needs to be prepared for.

I have confidence that all the really really smart people...those who understand all the minute details of this political system, all the ways it can be corrupted, are for the greater good in society...will find the information they need to combat that corruption, on every level it surfaces. I tested 'em, and they passed with flying colors. That said, I'm still concerned about the corruption that's already in place. Certain people in government, the legislative, executive and judicial branches of states and country in particular, are not going to be easy to remove, and have a large say in things. I suggest "following the money", and keeping congress from making laws that govern themselves, removing the ones that are already in place, as a start.

CC may be down, but he's far from out. We all KNOW he's as corrupt as it gets, but actually removing him is tough, given that the people who are in charge of removing him are themselves corrupted, in this way and that.

I personally need to see Christie removed, if only to restore my confidence in the system. MSNBC did their job, now it's up to others to tackle the issue of removing him from the equation, removing his power over people, to the extent that he is no longer a threat to society. He still is, imo.

    Oops!

A House committee report released Tuesday refuted claims that any stand-down order was given to prevent military support from reaching Benghazi, dismantling a central story in right-wing media mythology of a Benghazi cover-up.

They really really want something, anything to justify their hatred of Obama.

    (shakes head) Sad.:(

(cheers-up)...But then again, people get to see just how @#$%ed-up those guys and gals are, and can turn away from them in disgust! :)

Yin (points to ODS)...Yang (points to epiphanies).

Thus, the equation will balance.

So the man who was there lied?
A four-man team of military special operations forces was in Tripoli was organized, geared up and about to drive to a C-130 aircraft, to help those in Benghazi when its commander was ordered to stop by his superiors, Hicks said.

Last time I checked, Tripoli isn't Benghazi.

Therefore his phone conversations to SOCAFRICA doesn't count? Oh, and the rest of the report not supporting Mediamatters positions doesn't count? Ah, those pesky fact keep popping up.

It's better for people to have legitimate points than to just throw any and every accusation they can at their "perceived opponent".

I put that in quotes to address an issue we tend to forget, a point of my own that we tend to forget: We really are on the same team. We forget that sometimes, insisting on looking at minutea, rather than the broader picture. We find a trivial fault in someone's argument and then erroneously believe that any single point is enough proof to discount all other points made by this "perceived opponent".

We can only do so much to convince people to be reasonable and rational, but both sides agree that jobs are a major issue.

IMO, trade reform is the key to providing jobs here in America. With those jobs comes economic stability and fewer people on welfare.

The main problem? Corporate influence in DC.

Corporations are shooting themselves in the foot, and the economy in the heart, in order to achieve quick profits. Yes, they succeed in the short term, but this success of theirs is only temporary. By producing products overseas and shipping them here, they avoid the increased costs associated with providing jobs for Americans.

Corporations do invest in jobs (after profits are accounted for, of course), just not here in America. They do throw a few jobs our way, after some arm-twisting, but it's a meager amount and simply isn't enough to sustain the economy.

The economy collapsed because there is not enough money flowing through it to support it. it's going to continue to collapse unless we make major changes in how we conduct trade, specifically in products manufactured overseas with the intent to sell here in America.

Conservatives think that we can simply budget our way to prosperity. We can't. All that does is shrivel the economy, weakening it even more. If they got their way, the economy would shrink, our infrastructure would increase it's decaying and commerce would stagnate almost completely. Roads, bridges, power plants, etc would not have the means to sustain themselves because no one would have enough money to give them the means to repair the systems.

Does the "opposing side" have any good points to make? Yes, but those points are minutea compared to the very serious issue of a repeating pattern of economic collapses. If we suffer enough of those, people are going to be dying in droves, because they'll have to rely on local resources alone to satisfy their necessities, and local resources can't handle that kind of strain, especially for city-folk...no matter how much they riot, they're gonna die...because by then the system will have no way to address their needs.

    Think about it.
