Biden's Patriotism Test!!

Okay, everyone get their tax returns out so we can see who the most patriotic among us happens to be!!
Did you catch his insipid statement about paying more & higher taxes being a measure of one's patriotism?

I understand that Soros is wearing out Hillary's cell phone these days...something about Biden's health (mental?)being in question and the possible need to replace him as Co-President on the ticket but apparently she is waiting for Obama to implode so she can waltz right into the top spot.
I guess with Obama being neck-deep in the Fannie/Freddie debacle Hillary is seeing some light there.

I was probably busy at the time watching McCain saying he would fire people at the FEC and first being strongly opposed to bail outs and then advocating bail outs....then blaming it on Obama while downplaying his own connections. They are both like deer caught in headlights when it comes to anything of substance like the economy and finance (save their own personal cash flow). Broad meaningless political rhetoric wont cut it and they dont know what to say because that is all they are. meaningless statements, some misleading, others down right insane...blind accusations...Nothing of substance even if they got their lines right, no real ideas regarding why, how, what to do next. Oh, and can you believe the newest dirt about Biden and his remark about taxes? OMG! did you know he wears womens panties? Its comical to see how impotent they both became over a real issue that required a real answer, real knowledge and not mindless rhetoric.

Ron Paul would have plenty to say, in very exact terms as to why we are where we are and how to fix it...difference between an empty partisan political creature and a real Representative and competent administrator.

 

I will likely vote conservative in this election, but I will say that McCain smelled pretty barmy after the Keating 5 scandal back in the late 1980's. He slithered out of that one with a mere slap on the wrist.

McCain and Bin Obama can say all they want about this current mess. They are not players, Bush II is. He is a lame duck, but until 20 January he still pushes the buttons and pulls the strings.

 

I had not heard the rumor about Biden & women's clothing but it sounds like mere trashy garbage....the taxes = patriotism thing was widely reported by several news agencies though.

 

I had predicted Bidens comments getting him in trouble. Does anyone remember the Boston Tea Party ( or, at least ever heard of it ) ?? Shall we bring back the stamp act?

So Obama and Biden wants to tax my family more to share with those who make less? Unfair to the poor? How about unfair to those that actually planned their carreers and spent many years in college to get enough education and a job that pays good enough to live the good life? Ahhhh, we must be punished for achievment?

Biden: How many small businessmen are making $1,400,000 a year average in the top 1 percent. Give me a break. I remind my friend John McCain what he said. When Bush called for war and tax cuts he said, quote, "It is immoral, immoral to take a nation to war and not have anybody pay for it." I am so sick and tired of this phoniness. The truth of the matter is that we are in trouble, and the people who do not need a new tax cut should be willing as patriotic Americans to understand the way to get this economy back up on their feet is to give middle class taxpayers a break. We take the tax cut they're getting and we give it to the middle class.

You give middle class folks more help by keeping them employed than any tax cut.

The wealthy and the business owners are the ones employing the middle class last I checked. As you tax the wealthy, they stop the luxury items that keep so many employed. Corporations only pass the tax on to consumers, thus hurting those that you want to help.

Look at the recent liberal minimum wage hike. Unemployment shot up, now the libs are blaming the unemployment on the administration. It's laughable.

Luxury items the rich enjoy:

Salon treatments
Boats and fancy cars
Resorts, hotels and the travel industry
Restaurants and entertainment
New clothes

As you squeeze my income, I will buy less of those items, then the trickle down happens and those workers lose jobs. Prices go up as the tax is passed along.

Again, the middle class working folks take a hit.

EDIT: While not at all " rich" my wife and I are in the tax bracket target for an increase, and we do spend alot of money in the things I mentioned above.

Yeah, that man has pocketed more special interest money than most politicans combined and Keating just showered money and gifts on the man...and just so happened to have been given a few more years to rob the US of Billions MORE...I remember him saying he would NEVER live it down...some people have very short memories indeed, I dont...voting for him to be president is like giving Ken Lay (if he wasnt dead) another billion dollar company to run...Just shows how little respect they have for the american people that they would offer up such garbage and expect us to vote for it.

I have to admit that I am getting rather fed up of Davids attitude, he is incabable of holding a discussion without throwing personal insults around.
He makes statements with no refference to source then when pulled resorts to insults to make his case!!
David you show the true level of your Interlect every time you post, Obama coudnt ask for a better spokesperson than you, your Hatred is so blatant it is scary. Any slight aimed at Obama you jump on with relish regardless of how true it is, as I have proved here on a number of occassions, you Sir are like a Mad Dog frothing at the mouth.

What gets me Jack is he makes statements with no links to the story then has the nerve to call me for giving the exact text of a story that has striking simmilarities to his opening statement!!
It is not difficult to link to a given story but I forget he gets all his info first hand and doesnt rely on other means LOL

What I see Steve, is we all are so passionate.

I get all riled up easily, I do admit it. Then, the next day when you do a read over, you smack yourself and say DOH....I said that?????? OUCH, too late. You already said it.

Those of us who frequent these and other political forums are the hardliners. Others don't care.

There is nothing that you or I , or anybody who is firmly entrenched in a belief will usually allow us to be shaken from our comfort zone. We are what we are.

I think that of all the people here, of all political views from all directions, the 2 that make me really reconsider my thoughts are Moen and Drusus. While I disagree with them most of the time, every now and then a jewel pops out and I say to myself " Wow, that person is a thinker "

David is like me. Fire first and think later. Several others are like that as well. We all are at times.

My biggest problem here with folks is the games and the dishonesty. I can tolerate all forms of thought, but when outright deception is a game, and a tool, then all bets are off. When the trust goes, so does all respect. Eviction is in order. The ignore function is there for a reason.

David can be trusted. David is passionate. Perhaps, David should read the post that Moen wrote about learning how to blog, it really did change my outlook. A read over in the morning of last nights or yesterdays posts can be a real eye opener if you pretend you are reading a stranger and not your own typing. You learn the hard way that sometimes you sound like a person you would probably not like.

 

Sometimes, there is no link but rather a gut reaction. An instinct. A voilent reaction to something that you read. Remember the " Inciting Violence" thread? I would imagine that was one. Immeadiate " gotcha" but then shot down. One of them " OOPS, I typed that???? " I have done it.

 

That is quite true Jack one can have a Gut instinct on something, I have no argument with that but you dont put it out as gospel.
I do however have a argument when someone says a politician has stated "Dah De Dah" or posts comments taken compleatly out of context and gives no link to the article interview etc then when pulled on it with a article containing what they have stated but in a diffrent light, they gets wound up and starts hurling insults.
If they are unable to substansiate claims they realy should expect to get caught out.
It realy is not rocket science to be able to link to a story, they are not secrets that can not be shared so what I am basicly saying directly to David here is PUT UP OR SHUT UP stop making unfounded claims.
I have asked on a number of occasions that someone link me to a Speech by Obama where he states that he will raise tax's for all Americans! so far no one has been able to do it Yet when I have linked to speeches were he says he will raise tax for the top 5% of earners and lower them for 95% of tax paying americans, I am told I dont understand what he REALY MEANS!! and that not all Americans pay tax (that is playing with semantics LOL)
Bidan is suppose to have said it is the patriotic duty of all americans to pay higher tax's, ok show me where he said that! I showed were he actualy said something entierly different yet I am a Moron!! Come on give me a break.

Guys, I'm not backing off my comments at all.
The simple fact is I have no patience for the "paste a link on the internet" crowd. Here's a a news flash: The mere fact something is posted on the 'net, doesn't make it so!!! I would advise you really listen to what these clowns are saying & judge for yourself if their plans, promises, ideas, whatever make sense or have merit. C-Span is a good place to start..unbiased, shows a lot of after-the-speech, behind the scene, off the cuff types of exchanges (that is where I heard the Biden gaff, by the way).
Just because your point of view is supported by (or disputed by) a story on the internet it doesn't mean a thing- wake up! If you choose to wait with baited breath for the next words to come out of Obama's mouth or the next posting on some random site, go for it. As for me, I choose to digest the information I am exposed to and make my own decisions. There are no unbiased media outlets any more...every link you put so much faith in has an agenda, either for or against, so if you decide this is how you choose to disseminate your information be sure to take it all with a grain of salt.

You know, there have been few if any instances here where I have stated support for McCain yet I'm accused of being a rapid supporter of his. I've said it before & I'll say it again: In this election, I'm voting AGAINST Obama more than anything else. I can't honestly say I'm against what Obama stands for because I have no idea what that would be. I am against everything he represents and believe his group is running a scam on our great country. He is attempting to trick the uninformed, take advantage of the discontented and prey on fear.

I merely suggested C-Span and it's tendency of "keeping the cameras rolling" after interviews, campaign stops, etc as an alternative to your beloved internet as a candid glimpse into some of the candidates real rhetoric. Oh yeah, congrats on your higher education...the folks must be proud!!
