for those of us who know what a b side is.

stirred from its deep slumber and pronounced to usenet:

: for those of us who know what a b side is.

I still hace lots of those old-fangled black vinyl things and a nice
    tandberg thorens td160 turntable.
the bass on vinyl is just so much better than on CDs.
    :
: well i reckon it has to be xtc, dear god,

awesome song, I never realised it was a b side.
    :
: but i am sure there are more out there.

I reckon "magic roundabout" the b side of "funky moped" by the comedian
    jasper carrot was fun.
but I guess you have to have seen the TV show as a kid to truly appreciate
    it.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasper_Carrott

"He had a surprise UK top-5 chart hit in 1975 - the novelty record "Funky
Moped", written by Chris Rohmann. The B-side of this single was a risqu?
monologue parodying the animated children's TV series The Magic Roundabout.
This was banned by the BBC, which is widely believed to have aided its
    commercial success."

  3. No question in my mind. The best B-Side ever is:

Hey Hey What Can I Do
    Led Zeppelin

It is one of the best Led Zeppelin songs never to be released on one
of their albums during their existence, and it is the only non-album
Led Zeppelin song released between 1968 and 1990. It is the b-side to
    "Immigrant Song".

It was later issued on CD on one of their box sets and elsewhere.

    In The Year 2525.

"Gotta Make A Comeback", flip of "Knock On Wood",
    (Stax) Eddie Floyd, maybe 1966.

Later covered (well) by Rob't Cray and very few
    others.

Hands down, the best is "Girl Afraid" by the almighty Smiths - which
appeared as the flip side of the US version of "How Soon Is Now."

The Pretenders do a very nice (if somewhat listless) version of
"Everyday Is Like Sunday," and Therapy? does a good job on "Vicar In A
Tutu." But other than that I have to agree with you that the muslin
    misery train is being murdered.

Nah, it's gotta be "Positively 4th street" on the Italian single of Bob
    Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone"
