I don't think it was relevant. He said it was a mistake and he should have known better. He should have. Big deal! Why does it fascinate you so?

Not relevant? It's the defining moment of his pathetic life!

ROFL I *guess* a brothel would count as a small business!

Wait. You don't think it was relevant? Last I knew, people go to jail for being pimps/madams. Being that it's illegal, why is he not in jail like anyone else that would run a brothel? While I question the intelligence of prostitution being illegal rather than regulated, the fact remains that many serious diseases are passed during the unprotected sexual act. Many prostitutes currently spread disease, while others die of AIDS and other sexually-transmitted diseases, simply because they have inadequate access to healthcare due to the illegal nature of their business. At this time, prostitution is not legal, it is not moral, and it is not an ethical business. How is it possible to simply shrug off an elected official's involvement in a brothel?

Not to mention he used his political clout to help get the guy out of a couple of jams. Is that not relevant to you, moen? Isn't this the sort of shenanigans the flea baggers are rioting against?

For Right-wingers who already hate gays maybe but the rest of us have seen so many scandals from either side they seem kind of common these days. But you definitely find old Barney captivating for some reason. Hum?

Is it really any worse than some of the other stuff we've seen out of our law makers? Really? The Right simply hates him because he is openly gay. That is all the reason they need. Why should I get excited about their homophobia?

What an asinine statement. It's simply not true. You've played the race card and the gender card. Now you're playing the sexual orientation card? I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but you can go play it by yourself. I don't understand how you can look in a mirror and not be ashamed of the image staring back at you.

Really, so the RW Republican establishment in this country is embracing gay marriage, gays in the military, and gay adoption and nobody told me? I don't know how you can say that you have nothing against gays and gay marriage but support a party that most certainly does. If you can look in the mirror and be comfortable with that contradiction, you have a firmer grasp of denial than I could ever imagine.

    P.S. Love the false indignation.

You stated that the Right hates (Barney Frank) because he is openly gay. Please provide basis for that accusation. Painting the entire Right with your broad paintbrush is just as disingenuous as saying that the entire Flea Party is violent. Using your logic, you may as well say that the Left hates Hermain Cain because he is openly straight. Sorry, but it just doesn't wash.

I've already provided three examples of their distain, hatred, fear, whatever you want to call it for gays. To summerize, it was marriage, the military, and adoption. Why state it again?

The "Left" whoever they are do not hate Herman Cain and many of them pray that he gets the nomination. He won't because he is just a sideshow with no presence on the ground in any state because he is only in it for the book sales. Period.

Speaking of painting with a broad brush, why is OK for you to do it and then turn around and chide me for doing it. Why the double standard? Let me see, OK for you, not OK for me. I'll try to keep that in mind.

    :eek:Oops!

So we dislike his ultra liberal policies, because of the scandals he has created, and because he has screwed up the banking system and the economy, but you think that has something to do with his sexual preferences. I guess that is the liberal logic.

Oh, so you didn't learn anything from Bush's own words. Way to shield yourself from reality. You never did comment on that but kept your original premise. You just ignore what you don't like and stick to that droning narrative in your head in spite of evidence to the contrary. Now that is a dyed in the wool Right-winger if I ever saw one.
Here it is again. Would love to hear your take on it. Maybe I'm making it up?

Why do you have to make it a gay thing, moen? Can't we just despise him for using his influence to get his drug dealing friend out of jams & running a brotherl out of his home? Is it perhaps because you have no other defense of his record than to go on the attack? Kinda like when his involvement in the housing fiasco is mentioned you start with the Bush, Bush, Bush?

Where in my post did I mention Barney Frank's sexual orientation? Care to address the concerns I mentioned and not hide behind accusations of prejudice? Why is Frank's sexual orientation any more relevant than anything else? He needed to go to jail--and did not go to jail--for his actions, not for who he sleeps with.

When you can explain to me just what Bush did has to do with the actions Frank has taken. I never said nor implied that Bush is/was without fault, but his faults or lack of has nothing to do with the crap Frank has pulled - NOR DOES HIS SEXUAL ORIENTATION. CAN YOU READ THAT?

When the liberals have nothing in their arsenal, they throw out things like a person's race, gender or sexual orientation, etc. it's pathetic, really. But, 99% of the time, it's all they have. Just another reason they're known as the 99%.

    No you simply said;

See most people would take that as you saying it was Barney Frank that single handedly brought down the economy. And the word nearly doesn't really give you the wiggle room to backpedal at this point.

Oh have we broken out the broad brush again? The same brush you accused me of using? Why is OK for you to use it but not me? Oh yeah, RW hypocrisy.

I am not "backpedaling" anything. What I am denying is that my dislike/distrust of BF had anything to do with what Bush did or did not do and, contrary to your prejudices again, had anything to do with his sexual preferences. I really do not care if the man is into bestiality, what he has done to this country, economy, and my respect for politicians is just abominable.

Now we have to get rid of Reid and Pelosi.
