I think she surprised a lot of people. Though she did look a bit stupid when the debate came around to foreign policy, but I think that was expected. And, I think she should drop the "Joe six-pack" line, that's a bit of a dud. Otherwise, she did very well.

I thought the Joe Six Pack thing was a little cringe worthy too. But, did you see the CNN rolling graph of undecided Ohio voters during the debate? It went off the charts positive for both men and women when she was talking about Joe Six Pack and Hockey Moms during the answer to that question. lol

And I think there is a simple reason for that. A lot of voters don't like our politicians, don't trust our politicians, don't understand our politicians and can't relate to our politicians. Where I live, I have never met or talked to a Joe Biden or a Barack Obama or a John McCain. Normal people do not act like that. At least here where I live. But, I have certainly met a Sarah Palin or two in my day. ;)

Haha, yea I doubt those subjects will come up in debate. IIRC, they're on opposite sides for gun control, but isn't McCain in favor of illegal immigration? And, McCain isn't anti-abortion like Palin is, right?

Thats the odd thing about it all, out of all the candidates Palin came off the MOST insincere, the one acting more, I felt I saw very little of the real Palin, I wonder how she is among more intimates.

I am from the south (all over it), and to me she seems like the country girls I knew who had plastered fake joker grins and the contrived simple polite manurisms mixed with sharp belittling sarcasm some subtle some not so.

I think we have seen the other candidates for what they are, to me they are far more transparent. I wouldn't say I was impressed but she did no better or worse than Biden. I just dont want to vote for her and have her as a president as I disagree on several fundamental issues..

I think she is great. Hopefully she would not allow herself to become to packaged and if she does then she will lose herself which is the only thing good about her, a real person.
