Avatars

    I wonder about these.

I got into a brief discussion with rlm some time ago about them but I have to wonder.

I see folks cnange them all of the time. It always seems to be political (which makes sense I suppose) but when I look at the numbers it doesn't.

Now what would those numbers be?

If you log into Partisan Lines, the home page claims like a bazillion (that's a big number) members. When you actually go to the Politics section 10 members would be a "good" night.

I like my avatar. It's the "question mark" supplied by the site. Someone (and I really don't remember who) stated that they didn't "trust" a member with no avatar. This was a long time ago. I've been here since George Jr. was President.

Why would you not "trust" a member without an "acceptable" avatar? I look at the words typed, even if they're really stupid, then choose to answer or not answer.

I have to admit. I was considering putting an upside down Spanish question mark as my avatar. I didn't but who knows. What would the reaction be?

How much time do you waste (spend) on avatars? That's really my point here.

Coming soon...Signature lines! Or maybe not.

That is one of the things I like about you Clembo, you are curious. :)

I think of my avatar as just a change of scenery. Just a different color to look at while searching through posts. I have no attachment or loyalty to any of them I use.

I am however, flattered that someone here will copy my avatar within minutes of randomly picking a new one. I really love the attention being paid to my choices. He apparently feels clever because he learned a new trick at some point and wants his fellow lapdogs to think him so.

Avatars are just for fun. Watch this. :D

My avatars are usually political in nature and have an undeniable, unmistakable, rock-solid, pure-as-the-driven-snow quality to them.
    (such as my current one)...

Trying to figure out your avatar. Since you can hardly see the Y, and the R is a couple of swirly lines. Is this a matter of swapping the M and the O and then switching E and the N? This would definitely explain your narcissistic personality disorder.

I've used this avatar for so long on so any forums I don't even remember what I might have used before it and have no desire to try a different one. I guess that is the conservative in me. ;)
