Our society (America) has a culture ingrained with Christian values and symbolism. I'm fine with that. Just keep prayer out of public schools and I'm fine. I had a conversation with Timesjoke some time ago and he had some great points about atheism. That they never build. They tear down. They do not hand out charity. They take away. Now this not is speaking toward the individual solemn atheist. I am speaking of Atheist Incorporated. Yes, they are "Incorporated". But this is sick. Disgusting to attack these memorials because they form a "T". The cross is a well recognized symbol of death and memorial. It is essentially two sticks nailed together. No Jesus. No thorny crown. No adornment of scripture. Just two sticks nailed together. Now the Atheist want these things torn down as they view it as a violation of church and state. But what have they erected? What have they built? Where are their monuments to the fallen? This is a blatant attack on the church when the church has nothing to do with this. Most of the fallen officers were Mormons, who do not recognize the cross as a symbol of their religion, and the families are fine with it. The only people that are upset are the attention whore atheist. Whom apparently have run out of issues to address now that they've attacked every minuscule connotation of religion in their local area. I try to think of big ol thesaurus inspired fancy words I could use to describe this; But I can only say this; "STUPID". This is stupid.
You have my agreement there. I'm all for a secular state, but these are memorials to people who have died. Its incredibly stupid and insensitive.
What a bunch of crap. What are the AI going to sue to get the crosses and stars of David taken off of the headstones at Arlington National Cemetery, also. The cemetery is on federal public property. This group needs to get a grip.
