I was worried about my daughter in VA with all the storms and decided to call her up. After finding out she and her family were doing fine I asked her what she thought about Gov Palin. My daughter was born here in Alaska but she mostly grew up in Virgina. She was not happy and I found out she had a more Democratic ideal of America's plight and wanted Hillary Clinton. In our conversation she stated she was worried that McCain would keep us in a war in Iraq. I told her what I felt. What I see that both candidates will do: 1) Stop the war in Iraq. 2) Re-deploy those troops to Afghanistan. 3) Continue to help Georgina's fight Russia. 4) Prepare for a war with Iran. We will be in a war no matter what and it dosn't matter who becomes president. But I can't imagine not having a commander and chief without have been a warrior themselves and know what we are up against. Someone that won't try diplomacy just that one more time. You know, the ones that are in denial? The ones that must wait for a body count before they realize we must protect ourselves?
They both want: A better economy: The democrats solution: Higher taxes for small an large business. Less taxes for the poor and middle class which give more money to them (blue collar workers and welfare recipients). The Republican solution: Lower taxes on small an large business. This will stimulate our economy and create more jobs. Also reduce the price of commodities which we all need to survive.
They both want: Energy reform: Both agree that we need energy reform. Both have the interest of our country at heart. But why do the democrats appose drilling and nuclear energy? Don't they understand that we need to tap all of our energy resources to become energy independent?
