WASHINGTON (AP) -- An undercover video shot by an animal rights group at an Iowa egg hatchery shows workers discarding unwanted chicks by sending them alive into a grinder, and other chicks falling through a sorting machine to die on the factory floor.... By FREDERIC J. FROMMER More...
Jesus Christ! There has to be a better way! I can't wait to get out of the restaurant business. I feel tremendous guilt for contributing to this garbage and selling processed crap to the masses. If I could have my way, I'd have a small section of land with my own farm animals that I raise humanely for slaughter. Of course, I wouldn't have the heart to kill any of them and would ultimately wind up becoming a Vegan.
I couldn't watch it. That kinda stuff sticks in my head. I also love meat and would be a really bitchy, unhappy vegan lol.
that's so bad.... There really has to be a better way to deal with this situation. That is beyond horrible
Well as Ali sort of said, we all support the process by eating, lol. I do raise my own beef and we have chickens for eggs, not meat. I used to have my own milk cow but it got to be too much work and it is hard to find someone to milk your cow while your on vacation As it is now if we stopped the mass production of food like this the average American would starve, reminds me of an old saying: "A victim of our own success."
What annoyed me about the video, is the way at the end of it, it tried to push an agenda of becoming a vegetarian. To hell with that noise. If God intended for us to be vegetarians, he wouldn't have made meat taste so good. . .
