Anybody Up For WWIII?

    Seriously. Is anybody?
If so how do we pick teams?

As I peruse threads and opinions I see something horribly wrong. Too much saber rattling basically. Throw diplomacy out the windew we just need to kick their butts! Hoorah!

Is it really that easy though? Has it EVER been that easy throughout history?

I mean seriously think about it. When was the last time the U.S. declared war on a few countries. What did it get us and who else got dragged in on the other side?

It's great to say "we need to get rid of terrorists" and we "need to stop North Korea" but how realistic is this saber rattling?

Right now we (and others) are in Iraq and Afghanistan. We're talking big time about Iran and North Korea. Pakistan is a hotbed.
Hey, let's just get to the point here. The Middle East is indeed a mess so what do we do?

We could attack them all couldn't we. Let Allah sort them out and while we're at it the Jews who we should leave to fend for themselves because we'd need the money. Hmmmmm..... think that might raise a few eyebrows?

I've commented on North Korea in other threads. Yes, Kim Jung Il is off his rocker so do we attack him while the Chinese idly sit by and say "no problem we WANT a bunch of Americans in our backyard".

Let's spread our troops all over and conquer the "evils". Now I'm not saying that there aren't some bad MFs in any of these countries what I am saying is look at the numbers and the numbers of those around them that would be drawn in.
We don't have the numbers. Period. So what is the next recourse? Well, I'm betting we have lots of nukes and other nasty stuff we don't even know about. Do we use it? Do we risk retaliation? Allow me to answer this question with a glaring DUHHH! No we don't use it unless we have to and yes we risk lots of retaliation.

Tough talk is very cheap. Looking at what could possibly happen is priceless. There is a reason for diplomacy in the long run.

Should be interesting when North Korea launches a missile at Hawaii on or near the Fourth of July. I guess they prefer to "test" their capabilites during our national holidays. I guess they figure it wouldn't be much of a news item.

If they do launch toward Hawaii, that should be considered an act of war and serious aggression. A military response 10 fold should be in order so they get the message. Otherwise the U.N. is going to issue another U.N. resolution in which North Korea is simply going to laugh at "strong language"...AGAIN...from the U.N. Talk is cheap from U.N. It has no backbone unless their are ACTIONS backing the words.

As for the other hotbeds, the West will ALWAYS be fighting Islam...since islam is a declaration of war against all non-believers. You have to handle Islam like a cancer...you must contain it, treat it and if the "cells" start spreading, kill it.

It was never an issue for us in West when muslims were killing "not muslim enough" muslims and infidels in areas of the world we could care less about (Africa is good example where islam is killing 100's of thousands), but now...this cancer has made its way toward our western civilizations.

So yes...I do believe we are in a World War. This is not a war where you had armies and divisions going head to head as in World War II, but make no mistake, the only way we can promise peace in the future is make sure we prepare for war.

SIMPLE: Having a weak, appeasing President in office emboldens those who would wish to do us harm.

Once again, throwing your muslim crap in any thread. So tiresome.

David this is for you can you please provide actual links to this appeasement that you and others continualy go on about I have asked and asked yet I mever get any solid responses? As far as I can see President Obama has spoken in the same terms as other American Presidents when it comes to the Mid east and N Korea. Do you not believe in Diplomacy? do you want to send more young american service personel into harms way just to satisfy your dislike of a Democraticly Elected President? (Who by and by I notice you call a muslim! again without any supporting evidence?)

I had to reread my OP to make sure it didn't change over night as I sure didn't see any real answers. LOL

    Midas,
You may think we're in a world war but we're not. There is enough hatred but that never goes away does it?
Being in a world war would involve massive troop movements by multiple governments. Like in WWI and WWII. Countless millions died the vast majority being accomplished with conventional weapons. Sides were drawn, alliances forged and lots of killing occured.

    David,
Nice to see you pop in once and a while. Would be nicer if you made any sense though. Your response has absolutely nothing to do with the OP. Just another lame attack on Obama with no backing.
Or is there a hidden meaning? Is Obama in an "appeasement mode" because, to this point, he has failed to start the ball rolling toward full scale world war?
If that's the case the vast majority of our Presidents have been gutless appeasers.

    DeOrc,
You mentioned that "diplomacy" word. Bad, Bad, Bad! It just does't work. Actually it may seem that way at times but it ALWAYS needs to be the first recourse.

So I ask again. Is ANYBODY up for World War III? As in the real thing. Do we, as a World, want to head that way?
Remember what happened at the end of WWII? Two really nasty bombs finally got Japan to back down.
Today's bombs make those look like firecrackers. Do you think those would be used in the end, the middle or the beginning? Do you want to find out?

Oops, there you go again. I have never accused Obama of being a Muslim. Ever! I am in fact convinced, by his allegiance to Rev Wright, that he is not a Muslim. How could any Muslim spend so much time studying at the feet of a Jeremiah Wright and still be a Muslim, right?
I have accused Obama of being:
    a liar
    ill-prepared
    a novice
    unqualified
    a liar
an advocate for abortion (at any stage)
    Anti-American, anti-US military
    arrogant
    a liar
    a vote buyer
a friend of terrorists (remember Bill Ayers?)
    did I mention a liar????
    Never a Muslim

Yep, it's been a while but it's nice to see not much has really changed. Are some people really still defending Obama's tax, tax, tax...spend, spend, spend proposals? And we still have troops in the Mideast? There are still countries that dislike us? The Patriot Act is still law? Gitmo is still open? We still have poor people?
    So much for change.

A guy at work joked about Obama's first 100 days accomplishments....apparently Obama's main accomplishment has been the ability to convince the majority of US voters that he will provide for them while they ride the backs of the hard working Americans.

You nailed it David. Not much has changed.
You storm into a thread with a legitimate question and absolutely fail to answer the question in any way, shape or form.

Are you afraid to answer the question because there may be some truth to what could actually happen? If Obama gets into several wars would that make you happy? Then when it escalates you can blame him?

Come on dude. For once address the original question. My question only involves Obama because he is our President. Nothing more nothing less.

Get off your soapbox and answer the question or admit that you can't or won't.

You asked a bunch of questions, which one(s) do you want answered?

How about running down the list like you used to David? Heck, use bold type. At least there might be a real response in there somewhere.

Now as far as I can see Clembo is asking one single solitery question!

My post didn't contain any Muslim reference.

Actualy David if you read the post I was refering to it did contain a refrence to muslims, I have apologised for misreading it but yiou actualy did mention muslims.

Now this is a direct quote

Don't lose site of what Obama is doing...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems most of the recent posting has been about the Muslims Obama is so fond of now.

Now I do believe that this contains the word Muslim  I never said you did it in this thread though.

I believe the question was and agasin I will quote it directly fron Clembos post

    "Anybody Up For WWIII? "

Now that to me seems to be a single simple question.
