Now your American press says Bush has the lowest approval rating of his presidency. Next stop for the USA military - Iran!

Good! There or here??...WHERE should we fight these animals?? Better to take them out first before they ship a nuke into one of our ports controlled by the U.A.E.

As for his approval ratings. I am one of those that do NOT approve what he is doing. He is fighting the war too "nicely" whereas many islamic cities like Fallujah should have been flattened into a Super-Wal-Mart parking lot by now.

Add to my disgust, the ridiculus discretionary spending for socialist programs...

...borders are wide open as he is suffering from "Hispania" (the fear of upseting hispanic voters)

...allowing a muslim nation to control our ports which IMO is no differant than if we let the Nazis control the railroads during the late 1930's. After all, the Nazis ran their railroads very efficiently

...telling the American public that a few islamic radicals "hijacked a beautiful religion" when islam is FAR from a religion of peace and beauty.

So there...I can call out a fellow republican.

Matter of fact, Bush has done the republican party disservice. I called him out. I wonder if you will ever see a liberal call out another liberal...or did they just drink too much of their Kool-Aid.

Yea I heard that window washers have been told to be on the lookout since they are being targeted daily by suicide islamic bombers! Now we know what really happened to create the 9/11 attacks. They were going after the WINDOW WASHERS!!!!!!:)

Well, Midas, whereas I appreciate your attempt to speak for me, because I am a 'typical liberal', so therefore you know what I would say in such a conversation, you really botched my point of view.

The point is that many vets fight in a war because they accept that is their lot - they are in the military and they have no choice. In vietnam, many were drafted and chose to fight even if they did not want any part of the war. Many also believed in the war, and they went to do what they believe in. Either way, regardless of how I feel about the war itself, I would never hold that against the soldier. In fact, I admire them for fighting in a war that the government has deemed important to national safety.

What you have attempted to do is build my argument as you want to argue it, and you are completely wrong (as usual). You want to turn it into is a situation where either you support the war in Iraq, or you are a terrorist. It's a false discussion, and shows that you only really understand you own narrow point of view.

Again, you try to speak of the 'vast majority of vets' because of who you have talked to. I would suggest you look at your statistical pool before you shoot your mouth off. Not all vets hang at the VFW. Statistically, the vets that do hang out at the VFW are more likely to support wars they participated in. MANY vets want nothing to do with anything that would remind them of their war times... MANY want nothing more than to put such memories behind them. MANY don't want to even talk about it. and MANY would die before they would see their sons or daughters go through what they endured.

You aren't talking to those vets. You ignore them, but you know they are there. You talk to the ones that want to talk about it - and then you discredit the overall by assuming that you have successfully tapped into the 'vast majority'. A weak argument to say the least.

Again, you do not support the troops. You support a war that you believe in. You went into your beliefs with baggage that existed before the war - hatred that you excuse many times by what you saw on TV during the olympics, when it is plainly obvious that you are already a racist. You don't need reasons, you find them to excuse the hatred that is already with you.

A lot of us don't need that. A lot of us feel it's unfortunate that you do.

You cannot remove the danger of death in a war. You can, however, make a decision that troops will die, on occassion, for a war that is just. At that point, you are sacrificing the troops for the cause. Do not cheapen the soldier by telling him that you support him before you ship him off to die. Believe in the cause, and know that it has cost you the ability to support the humans it costs. You cannot support something that you are willing to see die to acheive the results you want.

I don't understand the last sentence, except to say that you overestimate yourself and your ability to debate.

My heart bleeds for you...hold on as I get a tissue. Your last post brought a tear to my eyes.

Our currrent military is a 100% volunteer force. They were NOT drafted. It is one of the main reasons why our military wants to keep it this way. They want recruits who WANT to fight and defend this country...not a bunch of bleeding hearts who run off to Canada. Who wants to fight with people that are "anti-military" and "anti-anything to do with their missions"?? Our current military leaders want people like you as far away from them as possible.

Today's military wants NOTHING to do with bleeding hearts, but they sure will fight for your freedoms...as much as you may disgust them.

It is not just the VETs at the local VFW, I have been at a number of VET hospitals where MANY believe what they were doing in Iraq/Afghanistan were in fact, right and just! Their biggest fear...liberals will convince the ill-advised public to abort their fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then their injuries and those that have died will be for NOTHING!!

I am as much of a racist as real Americans were against the Japs after December 7th. The big differance is people like me (though I am more vocal and proud of it!) have had ENOUGH of islamic terrorism and their jihad war.

You are right, my first introduction to islam was during the 72 Olympics and for the life of me, I can't remember a year when these people were not killing, murdering, or waging jihad against the innocent. Even after the first attempt to knock down the WTC in the early 90's, many Americans soon forgot what these islamic fundamentalists really wanted to do!! That is...kill as many Americans as POSSIBLE!

You don't think there were millions of muslims thinking, "Allah-damn-it, we were sooooooo close to toppling one of those towers and killing thousands of infidels"???

So it took the killing of over 3,000 innocent people on 9/11 to FINALLY wake up America. Almost...I say again...almost on the scale of what the Japs did on December 7th. For what happened after the Jap attack, this country rallyed and took the war to the evils of the world...which also included Germany. Today we have liberals that will not fight and some even want the military disbanded!

You may argue that Germany during WWII declared war on us, which they did. Question, you don't think the islamic world has declared war on western civilization? Do only formal war declarations count? Remember, these people have no respect for life...unless you are muslim and you follow their stupid Koran.

You think that the cause is NOT JUST, I do. It just demonstrates that you don't think islamic terrorism is a 'big deal' and it also goes to show how you feel about islamic jihad. Maybe, you don't see or deal with these animals way out there in Topeka, but I unfortunately have to deal with these people from time to time and believe me...their signature is worth NOTHING on a contract.

Next time before they sign off on a contact, I should ask them to promise and swear to allah. Bet they wouldn't!!

So I want to see all islamic radicals "evacuated". The world would be better off without them. After all, what has the muslim world contributed to this world since mohammad wrote those words in the Koran??

    Latest tally:

    Weekly Jihad Report (2/19 - 2/25)

    Jihad Attacks:
    52

    Dead Bodies:
    358

    Critically Injured:
    484

Number of islamic terror attacks SINCE 9/11: 4,358

    Beautiful religion, wouldn't you say??

Again, you have no clue what 'the vast majority of vets' think... and you should admit you were wrong. You won't, but you should.

Now, riddle me this caped crusader. If so many young americans want to sign up to fight for our freedoms and go to war in Iraq - how come commercials for the military don't say 'sign up with the army and we'll ship you off to Iraq to fight in the streets against terrorists', instead of 'Sign up for the army, and we'll teach you how to work with fancy computers and further your career and education'? Why, Midas? Because young people, by and large, have a tendency to not think things through all the way... Don't blow a bunch of bull and expect you won't get called on it.

Why is the military trying to stop people from getting out of the military, if they are so gung ho (according to you) to stay and fight? Gosh, that would seem like wasted time, since none of them want to leave the war they love so much.

And that whole 'my heart bleeds for you' crap you started your post with - poor debate tactics, really... it really lends nothing to your argument, and sort of made you look a little foolish.

PS, you used a racial slur again, and I have already asked you pretty nicely to avoid doing that. Save it to feed your son, so he can grow up with your hatred and be just like that little kid in the picture you showed a couple posts ago... but don't worry, most people won't call you on the irony.

"Hold on young dear Robin, recruits joining the U.S. Military are too stupid and have NO idea what they are getting into. This 100% volunteer force has been duped old boy!...and by the way, watch it with your 'Holys' because that will upset a few of those peaceful loving islamic radicals...you did see what happened when they saw an animated version of Tut's allah?...Did you not?"

For the record, I do know that Tut lived well before the rag-head-drug-induced-mohammad (racial slur) wrote the Koran, but your caped cursader comment brought back some after school memories of "same bat time, same bat channel". Thanks!

In 1941-1945 there were Yanks, Brits, Nazis, and Japs, today they're Germans, Japanese, British, and Americans a totally different group of citizens who get along rather well more-or-less. That's a fact of life which will never change. It's not a racial slur it's just the nomenclature which was used at the time, part of history.

If you want some Japanese racial slurs I can give you a few as my OldMan was a WWII era US Marine who fought the JAPANESE in WWII on Henderson Island.

Now today we have the Peaceful Muslim...

    Midas, pathetic.

Should we translate that to mean that you can't answer my questions, or that your patriotism is too true and pure as to allow yourself to be bothered by such things as reason and understanding?

Bone, there were names for vietnamese when we were at war with them, as well... it is still not appropriate to use these terms today.

Midas was not in WWII and his use of it is the same as his use and understanding of every other non-white race - pure racism.

Pathetic!?! Oh, I forgot...liberals have NO sense of humor. They are always complaining and protesting about something. Anti-this and Anti-that...I guess I would lose my sense of humor too!

You actually asked a question? Oh...about the military recruit advertising. I guess we could come out with an ad like this.

"Join the military...see foreigns lands and meet exotic people. BTW...you might have to kill them and knock down their buildings as you defend the United States from the worst scum of the earth"

After WWII and yes, 9/11, there were many young men and woman that did just that. Thank God for these fine folks. The perks of education and trainiing are just that...perks coming from this job and service.

What do you want recruiters to do? Advertise this way: Join the military and you could die from fightiing against islamic rag-heads (racial slur)!!

BTW...I see that you actually own a coin shop. Do you generate a profit? How dare you!! Those are evil words to liberals as you should take that money and give it ALL back. I'll hold hands with you and help you teach the world to sing...in perfect harmony! Isn't that special??

I don't own a coin shop... that's just my personal website.

The truth is, recruiters recruit - however they can. They hang out in places where young kids are usually disassociated with their parents. They advertise in ways that make kids think it's a Voc-Tech. They come to middle schools and talk to kids about 'what do you plan to do with your life once you're out of school?'... yeah, like any of us knew that in 8th grade.

Before you call me a liar, they did JUST THAT to my middle son. It made me furious, because he thought it was cool... COOL.

Midas, the more you post, the more you prove my points. As they say, sometimes your opponant is your best advicate.

Well...let's see. I have a bunch of uncles that fought on both sides of the world against the Nazis and Japs. Many that fought against the Japs believed to the day they died what Admiral Halsey said,"The only good Jap is one that has been dead for 6 months." You had posters like this too during World War II:

    [IMG][IMG]

After we flattened two of his cities, the emperor wised up and finally convinced his people to surrender...unconditionally. Now Japan has joined the civilzed world and the fact that they lost this war actually made them a better nation for it! Good for you Japan...you learned a hard lesson and wised up. The same goes for Germany...they had to learn a lesson as well!

So I guess we are going to have to destroy islam in order to save it...otherwise these islamic fundamentalists will evenly take their jihad to the rest of the civilized world...which is EXACTLY what they are doing right now!

Good...I hope your middle school thanked guys like that for his service. I hope your son sets you straight and learns that the liberal dogma he learns from you is a lot about nothing. It is good that he opens his eyes. Go to the school and protest. I am sure you have some "anti-this" or "anti-that" signs ready to go.

    Like these rag-heads:

Most of my friends are Vietnam War veterans, plus my grand-daughter just returned from Iraq. She and her mother, both regular Army, will go to Afghanistan this year. I have (deceased) WWI and WWII veterans in the family. My son was in the Guard for 7 years. Since 1964 when I started paying attention, I have only known a half dozen veterans that truly hated their service experience and disrespected their leadership and country. All of those guys were Vietnam veterans, and many of their issues were real. All were drafted.

This is a totally volunteer military. Dummies and losers are not accepted.

Did not active military personnel vote 2:1 for Bush over Kerry in 2004? Up here in El Dorado County, California, I would estimate that 80 percent of veterans are Bush supporters. I have not met a local veteran with a negative attitude.

Military shares public's declining support for Bush, war

    10/28/2005

    Associated Press

More than half the North Carolina military members surveyed in the latest Elon University poll don't like the way President Bush is handling his job and the war in Iraq.

The survey results were released today.

Of the 539 adults surveyed, nearly 53 percent of military members said they strongly disapproved or disapproved of Bush's handling of his job. And 56 percent of that same group said they strongly disapproved or disapproved of his handling of the Iraq war.

Overall, slightly more than 53 percent of those surveyed did not approve of Bush's job performance, while 57 percent didn't approve of his handling of the Iraq war.

The telephone poll was conducted between Monday and Thursday and has a margin of error for the entire sample of plus or minus four-point-three percentage points.
