Don't the cats start worrying you? that is, reminding you that you have a
deal, that you are to feed them and shelter them and pet them and amuse
them, and in return they don't do nothin'?

when im way depressed, or injured, they watch me carefully, and give
me snuggles. when my dad was here this summer, a few hours after i
came home from the hospital after shoulder surgery, i was sleeping on
my side in bed and he saw molly right up on my side watching me
closely. for a long time. until i woke up hours later.

they are very attentive when things are off in my head or body. in
fact, botticelli is curled up next to the monitor right now. but if i
go into another room, shell follow me. they like keeping tabs on me,
and like staying close to me when im illin.

I suppose a bad example is better than no example at all.

Don't think I'd be happy on a diet like that. Perhaps employment as a
drop bear would be similarly relaxed but with a much wider range of
    dietary choice.

They're why you do not go wandering about under eucalyptus trees,
especially at night, unless you dab some vegemite behind your ears.
They may be a relative of the koala or perhaps even a normal koala
with a hankering for fresh meat.

    chuckles....

you know man eating koalas are a rare breed, but i would never mess
with a wild koala that is on the ground cause they can be cranky things

and they have got fuck off claws, you know for climbing trees, or
skewering eyeballs, whatever the need may be.

but why would a ravenous man eating koala be doing on the ground,( apart
from the fact that is where humanity resides ) seeing as they prefer to
sleep precariously perched in a gum tree, hmmm i thinks it might have
something to do with koalas getting stoned off their little brain on gum
    leaves....then they drop....

I thought you were going to explain the fact that a drop bear resides in a
tree, thus the droppings hit the unsuspected head of a poor human stupid
enough to walk underneath the gum tree.

    *ahem*

According to the sainted and erudite Terry Pratchett, they are small
bear-like creatures with very hard bottoms. They hide up in trees till their
prey walks underneath, then drop on them (thus the "drop bear" name) to stun
the prey. If one should be so lucky as to escape a drop bear attack (hard to
do since drop bears live in groups), one can hear the "thuds" of drop bears
    hitting the ground.

Mr. Pratchett doesn't mention what the drop bears do with the stunned prey,
but one assumes the bears are carniverous.

And that's what I know about drop bears.
