People caught in prostitution stings are actually some of the BETTER people Obama has associated with in his life.

Perhaps if BO had put forth a bit more effort our economy would have improved rather than gotten worse?
On second thought, the more he's out of the loop, they better off we are. I'll pay for his next 20 rounds!!

Of course, when it's a Republican President going on vacation, what you hear from the CBS crowd is "...a modern President is never truly on vacation, technology sees to that..."

Perhaps so, but that does not change the fact that Obama has taken quite a few more vacations than people would have liked to see him take. It also does not change the fact that most Americans get one, perhaps two, weeks of vacation time each year. It's a bit unsettling for the average American to see the president, you know--the guy in charge of the country--getting so much time off when your average supermarket cashier usually has to be happy with a "staycation" and a pizza (but is terrified of taking a sick day in case s/he loses his/her job) or when the average executive usually piles up vacation time that s/he is afraid to take in fear that someone younger and hungrier will be moved into that position in his or her absence. In one company for which I worked, I knew my job was in trouble when I didn't get any argument over my taking a three-day weekend to visit with an old friend that I had not seen for many years . . .

Sorry, but I am on the other side for this one - although I will admit it it not publicity sound. Most Americans get at least 104 days off per year and don't realize just how much presidents actually work, even Obama - although in his case I would just as soon see him not work. And to add to this, I wonder just how much free time he really gets. He may not be in his office, but the world is still spinning.

True enough--and I'm not saying that he's not deserving of time off, if he works as hard as a president is wont to do. However, I think he goes about it very badly and has shot himself in the foot publicity-wise. If he's so overworked, then maybe a long weekend with a few Netflix movies and some popcorn might be the way to kick back and relax--and it would be a lot less expensive than those golf jaunts that have been mocked all too often.

Publicity wise, it floats about as well as a solid lead balloon, I agree. I really doubt that BO gets much else done on the golf course, but I assure you the Bush's trips to Camp David and his ranch probably had more work than he did at the White House and he did not have the press watching his every move. Maybe a lot of this comes from the fact that I grew up when Ike was president. Now I believe he was a pretty good president, but he had an absolute fetish for the game of golf. I would love to know how much he played compared to BO.

See! I told you he would be working during his "vacation". He issued this proclamation - Presidential Proclamation -- National Stalking Awareness Month, 2012

That article claims five hours of golf, so 90 times that's 450 hours. He spent 450 hours out of the total 26,280 to play golf. 90 times in three years. That's not even an every weekend golfer, not even close, fairly low end of recreational I would say. This was a stupid article. Might as well say he's a bad person because he spent 4000 seconds tieing his shoes per year or some other arbitrary number that sounds high until you actually look at it.

"This was a stupid article" is right on the money, and typical CBS from the hard-line republicans out there. They may as well complain about how much sleep he's had... "Obama sleeps on the job nearly one third of the time!!!" ...typical NBC from people who care more about their own personal wealth than the country's well-being.

These golf outings are nothing. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Nobody's mentioned the real travesty, which has been in the form of all the travel expenses this family has incurred over 3 years! Sure he's allowed to do whatever they want but it seems that there's a fine line between being responsible and outright abuse! How many trips back and forth to Hawaii are needed? Why doesn't he wait until he's out of office and then he can go live there for all we care? I wonder how many times he went there as an IL senator? They're from Chicago. They've lived in Chicago for years. Why trips to Hawaii now and not Chicago?

For Christmas, the family had to fly all the way out to HI on separate jets. Don't forget Michelle and the kids world tour vacation for fun. They also just had a large Christmas tree hauled in from Wisconsin. Was this really necessary? All this waste. All the pollution for one family. A small fraction of society gets to travel to Hawaii once in their lives. Most will never get to see it once.

If Obama was setting a good example and was not a hypocrite, I would give him all the credit in the world. Unfortunately, that is not the case. I hope all the environmentalists are extremely angry. Otherwise I never want to hear from them again.

I like golf and I've probably went out about 30 times. It's not a primary hobby but I doubt I'll get out 90 times in my life time. But, whatever you think is a low number for 3 years time. Should we assume anything less than going every weekend isn't that bad? The problem is, he likes to golf in HI, even though they're from Chicago and he's supposed to be in DC. Oh well.
