I think American prisons are too bureaucratic and kindly. I just watched a program on Folsom Prison, which is just a few miles from here. They apparently have gang fights all the time. Punks and creeps kill otherpunks and creeps. The guards go to extreme lengths to treat everybody nicely. Incidently, about one-third of California felons are illegal Mexican invaders. If I were King, things would be different. Prisoners would be housed in tents and concentartion camps in the desert. They would be fed marginal foods Lifer thugs who attack other prisoners would be shot on the spot. Everyone in Death Row would be taken out and shot, immediately if not sooner. There would be no lethal injection, weight sets, lawyers, doctors, or preachers. There would be a used Ruger Mark-IV .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Two shots to the head. I'll bet the hardcore thugs would stop acting up. I'll bet that Mexican street gangs inside California prisons would cease to exist.
I would like to see a serious attempt at rehab. BTW the Black/Mexican gangs are on a kill on sight basis in some California prisons so you may get your wish.
Yes QD, you are right. America has too many Camp Cupcake ala Martha Stewart type prisons. Think of how good "life" would be if they had to put up with bitter cold in the winter and mosquito heat in the summer AKA Siberia. Now that is prison like it should be.
I don't know Dog. That might be construed as torture and in-humane by the rest of the world. To be accepted as civilized and accepted you must first video them on their knees with a band of armed/masked guards standing behind them. Then you whack off their heads, display the video all over the internet, throw their mangled headless body in a ditch where it can be found easily and identified. That is the proper form of treatment to prisoners that seems to be treated as acceptable.
The Chinese murder thousands of people every year, and many of these victims are not even criminals by western standards. The world is outraged at seeing Abu Graib prisoners with underwear on their heads while they ignore tens of thousands of brutal killings around the world. American prisons sometimes seem rather silly. We buy so much junk from China. Perhaps we should out=source the housing and maintenance of our worst prisoners, and all alien prisoners, to China, Turkey, or Russia? I would assume that the American crime-rate would plummet.
Nah, the Chinese build such flimsy and cheap prisons that all the criminals would escape... all except the Christian prisoners, who are kept in terrible conditions and beaten and killed every day. Their crime? Being Christian... how terrible! No, how terrible that the U.S and other countries actually are on friendly terms with communist, anti-Christian, anti-humanity China. Mao and others ordered the death and starvation of more than 40 million chinese(numbers are probably much higher than this). Yet the Chinese kids sing Mao's praises every day. They really think he was a good guy, because they've been brainwashed. And Bill Clinton sells our military secrets and space technology to the Chinese, who then sell them to our enemies(our OTHER enemies, china is one aswell). And then, to divert Americans from his treason, Ex-President Clinton reveals that he is not only a treasonous, unpatriotic liar, he is immoral and adulterous. And then he lies about this as well. And it works... nowadays, people STILL admire Clinton. They think he's some good guy because the economy was pretty good during his presidency, and now it's bad. Well, you know what, one reason it has gotten so bad is BECAUSE of the disgusting way he served his 2 terms. And the other treasonous people are the senators and congressmen who didn't impeach the guy and have him thrown in the pokey or EXECUTED! It makes me so sick! And then Danr states that Clinton was a great politician. You know what, I agree with him: because politics stands for "many blood sucking ticks", of which Clinton is one. I'll tell you one thing that most smart and intelligent and knowledgable people know: If we execute every single murderer, rapist, pervert, sodomite, robber etc.. in our jails and prisons, the crime rate would drop instantly. If all concerned parents and citizens get trained to carry concealed firearms, the crime rate would plummet to near zero. This is a well-known fact. Anyone who wants to dispute it, meet me in the park with your dueling pistol(joke, okay?). Washington D.C has a very high crime rate. Why? Because people who live there are forced by law! to allow criminals to rob them and murder them unmolested. In many states, like California, you cannot even purchase BB guns at all! While criminals walk our streets everywhere with Uzi's, Mac-10's, MP5's, M16's Ak-47's, 9mm's, .45's, .38's, .22's etc... murdering and robbing and raping and vandalizing and getting high, and nobody does a thing. REHABILITATION is akin to the word mirage. Anyway, you can work till Armageddon on most of these people and it wouldn't do a thing. Some criminals do become Christians and repent, it is true(but you never here of criminals becoming Muslims or Buddhists or aitheists and stopping their life of crime, do you?), but the majority won't, and who are you more concerned about: helpless children and mothers and old folks in wheelchairs... or ruthless cowards of criminals who beat up old men, rob women struggling to put food on the table or give a few Christmas presents to the children, shoot storekeepers in cold blood and steal their merchandise, run over kids in the street and kill five-year-olds in drive by shootings... who fill our streets with blood and our kids with drugs... who cry "my rights have been violated" after gunning down whole families... who write childrens books(with doubtful content) from prison and then cry for amnesty that they don't deserve... who run violent gangs all over the big cities that terrorize whole neighborhoods and ruin kids who might have had something decent in life, but are doomed to a short violent life, then a painful death from a bullet or a beating... aren't you tired of this, folks? The government has spoken, it WILL NOT protect us. Meaning, we must protect ourselves. Call it what you will, if some guy sticks a .22 in my face at three in the morning and tells me to hand over my wallet, the last thing he will see is the huge barrel of a .50 A.E spitting a gigantic round through his brain. Is that vigilantism? Absolutely not! It's called: "common sense", "protecting your family", "protecting your life", "saving your money that would have been used to buy drugs so that you can feed your kids."... if that's vigilantism then call me Vigilante. This applies to each and every one of you, liberal or conservative, male or female, black or white, red or yellow. Danr, if you saw someone assaulting your mother, will you try to rehabilitate the man, or will you pull a gun and give him a well deserved bullet to the head? Moen, if you see someone attempting to kidnap one of your boys, would you blow him away with your .38 or try to reason with him that his life would be much better if he stopped committing crimes? OldDan, if someone tried to steal a case of your Tequla(or whatever whiskey you like), would you give him a load of buckshot in the behind, or invite him in for a glass? Islamic_coins, if you see a muslim planting a bomb inside a church, would you shoot him, or go help him adjust the trigger on the detonator? (we already know the answer to that) Face it, the government cannot protect you in cases like these. Policemen only have to do something AFTER a crime has been committed, not before. And there won't be one around in most cases. What will you do? If terrorists hijack a plane you fly on, will you wait and see if fliight marshalls will stop the muslims(and if you do you will die in a fiery plane crash, I assure you), or will you jerk out a .45 and shoot them down? Or use your martial arts to immobilize them, before pushing them out the window 36000 feet above the Washington Monument? I know what I'd do...
What is the big deal. We would shoot dogs with rabies to protect the community at large, why not shoot a serial murder/rapist/etc and be done with it. I think we got to soft with our hard core.
