It is a reference to Jeff Gannon the "reporter" who turned out to be a gay prostitute using press credentials to sneak into the white house for God knows what perverted activities. Read the link I am not makng this up.

Andy you ought to look into it, Gannon was signing out without ever having signed in> In post 911 white house you need the big guys permission for that one. Danh are you knowing making a false charge against the current President of the United States only because Clinton can't keep his pants on. Clinton's real sins as president was giving nuke technology to the North Koreans, helping out the Paki's with there nukes, attacking the Christian cities of the balkens on the Saudi's requests, giving China our space technology, etc. The whole Monic thing was the best thing that happened to Bill for it distracted attention away from his "real sins as a president" by focusing on the "sins of the man".

By the way Danr I did look into your Gannon thing using your source and it appeared if anything was astrayed was that he might have been paid to have printed pro-bush articles in the gay newspapers that he was writing for. At best he was just invited to be part of the press core which being a gay writer for a gay newsource should not be attacked by the left but cheered.

that is a great thing. thi means that there will be another country funding space exporation. if man has any long term future it will be in the stars.

i know that sounds a little to scifi but it would have been like if man kind had never crossed the pond from europe/asia to north and south america.

 

I find it hard to believe China interested in stars other than as a "smoke and mirrors ploy". The actual cost to even deploy and operate a beginning space station is a huge burden she can't afford.

There are far more strategic concerns than that.. i.e. the "cruise missles for taiwan program"

Actually I'm still not quite so sure it was in the U.S. best interests in the 60's. Imagine seeing a pretty coin that you like and going head over heals into hock for it. I'm pretty certain thats why the Soviets bowed out of the space program, it wasn't a national hobby anymore, it was a full fledged war rockets vs. butter. The U.S. still has barely only paid the interest on the space program tab.

 

This technology has also given China the accuracy to hit California cities with nukes and the ability to pass it on to a lesser extent to its baby, North Korea.

That China thing is a red herring. I would think that you'd be more upset at Reagan for giving Iran missiles (Irancontra) or training Osama to blowup buildings. You ARE the big antiIslam guy.
As for the Gannon/Bush relationship, it is there, it is real, and once the evil empire of Republicans crumbles I hope that they investigate it with as much vigor as they did Clinton.
