C'mon Peter, tell us who you voted for :)

Even if Coakley pulls off a win, the fact that it was even close should be encouraging for Conservatives.......

I'll be switching between all the cable new networks tonight. This is better than the SuperBowl, lol

Brown has just defeated Coakley in Uncle Teddies senate seat.
This is a national refurendum against healthcare.
This is a national referendum against Obama.
This is a national referendum against big government.

The people have spoke :This is NOT the hope and change they were looking for.

They have awakened the sleeping giant in the American people. The arrogance of this adminisration will continue and they will be decimated in Nov.2010

Time to bring out the 51 vote gun.

Very good win for him, the Repiblican party has to try to build on this and remember that it no longer can say they were unable to Veto any of President Obamas policies, The Democrats no longer have the unasalable Majority.
So now we see how things will play out :D

Funny, I watched MSNBC's reporting on this race for the last week or so & they billed Brown as just another Republican, part of the establishment...then, beginning last night, the very same commentators began referring to him as an independent voice (after he had won obviously). We all know what/why they were doing itand, don't get me wrong- I don't have a problem with it, but everyone who has leveled criticism at FOX for doing the same thing needs to be honest about it.

The dems, unfortunately, still have the majority and wield enough power to get done anything they want, as long as they all can agree (or bribe their holdouts at the expense of the rest of us). I believe the 60 vote super majority only made opposition filibuster impossible.

More than anything else, I think this election was a backlash at BO and the direction he's taking our country. People are starting to wake up, folks. If it can happen in MA it can happen anywhere!

Sure if they can get Republicans to vote with them or to abstain and assuming that they can get everyone of there own to vote with them :D
The fact remains David that Republicans have made much of the 60 vote super majority (and in some cases rightly so) but now they dont have that luxury

I absolutely agree & my previous post wasn't an argument with what you had written earlier. Dems in the Senate no longer have the luxury of excluding Republicans from the conducting of our nation's business, they will have to work (rather than cut back room, criminal deals) to get things done & will have to work in a non-partisan manner.
    Should be interesting.

We can only hope they try this unconstitution and unpresidented tactict......for if they do Massachusetts will only be a blip on the radar to what will happen in Nov. 2010....the democrats will not only implode from within, they will be annilated!

I have to admire you TC, you are unabashed about who you are. You stick to your guns.

This is straight out of Saul Alinskis book " Rules for Radicals "......If you hit a bump in the road, step on the gas. Push harder. Ends justifies the means.

I am stunned and shocked at the victory to be honest. I expected a Minnesota style recount/steal, an ACORN votefest...etc etc. This will send shockwaves thru the dem party. It will also embolden those dems secretly on the fence to bolt the Ried, Pelosi and BO presure.

BO has just been b-slapped again. Now we need him to hit the campaign trail for Harry Reid !!!!

Not to gloat, but this is a beautiful day to be an American.

He is no independant moderate watered down candidate. He is pro-big military, slash taxes, skeptical on glabal warming, against the healthcare reform and cap and trade. I think he is even ok with waterboarding. Other than spin, I don;t see how this can be anything but a backlash against the President,

Yes he is OK with waterboarding...couldn't help but watch PMSNBC last night that reminded its viewers over and over again he supports waterboarding....wait for it...TERRORISTS (muslims). Can't help but smile on this one. If this can happen in Massachusetts that voted for B.O. by a margin of OVER 25 percentage points, this can happen anywhere!

Does that mean that TERRORISTS(pentacostals) get donuts and coffee?

No that's Sean Hannity's job to pass out donuts.

I've said before Jack..I am for whatever makes the right uncomfortable. Health care clearly does that. I submit the opposite view too. I say that if the dems DON'T run full steam ahead, they (and primarily Obama) will be viewed by people who DID vote for he and his party to be absolutely worthless. They will have been elected to oppose the right and failed to follow through with it and accomplished nothing except insuring that the dems stay home next time around. The right will have gained back the votes they lost by doing absolutely NOTHING except being a roadblock. NOTHING. Very sad day for America IMHO.

Maybe this can be the trigger that bands the dems together to cram it down the right's throat instead of acting like the pandering p***ies they been thus far.

You're not for what's best for the country? Even if people disagree on what they believe is best for the country, at least their hearts & minds are in the right place...Opposing or supporting something just to make the other side "uncomfortable" is just shallow, irresponsible and plain wrong. You are exactly what is wrong with our current political system.

While I agree with that statement, your fanatical opposition to Obama seems to cast you into a state of hypocrisy.

Right you are Tom, the dems are a bunch a of pandering p***ies and always have been. Since dems are only interested in power and control they will destroy theirselves in a attempt to hold on to it. Coakley campaign is already Blaming Obama and vice versa.

Tell me Tom when the will of the PEOPLE is heard and acted upon, what socialist country do you want to go to? lol

I oppose BO for no reason other than the fact that he is bad for our country. Sometimes I feel I have to go overboard in order to show the absurdity in the things he says/does and even moreso in the attempts of others to defend what he says/does.
