According to B. O'Reilly, as far as they can tell the money was split nearly equally between Dems and Republicans. But you never would have heard that on NBC or CBS because the people working there are filthy slime like Moen and Danr. Constantly lying and using false information. Moen was as usual parroting the dems lie that the tax cuts are all to the rich people. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who believes that should be deported.

Lets face the truth most of our politicians are for sale no matter what party they belong to and this is not new. What is new and started in the late 1970's is the amount of politicians that are selling themselves to foriegn governments. As far as I know the Democrats are taking tons of money from outside our nation's borders. Clinton and Gore took money from mainland China and mainland China now has a space program that works. Clinton also took over 100 million dollars from one Arab Shiek alone for his library after he was President. That money goes to staff the library and from the start those staffers started to work for "Hillary". And yes, the Bushes have been very well off with Saudi Money which is why we most likely invaded them after 911.

But the media will not go to deep into those facts for after all, who do you really think controls majority shares in major media today or owns major shares in the company's that choose to pay or not pay for advertisments on other medial outlets. Think about it, and look up past and present ownership or UPI, AP, and Rueters to name a few.

Andy is right but Moen and his liberal dope friends will never admit it because being a liberal is their religion and they are just as fanatic as the suicide bombers in Israel and Iraq.

Anyone who disagrees with your view point should be given the Nobel Peace Prize. You wouldn't know the truth if it bit your behind. As I've said before and as you've proven so often, the "G" must stand for gullible.

As far as I can tell, this lobbyist worked with legislators in BOTH political parties as it is his job just to do that, get the votes his clients desire. So it is not just reps that benefited, but also a whole host of dems.

Like I said, anybody (that means also reps) that do illegal activities need to be held accountable.

Meon makes it sounds that just reps (alone) are guilty of these actions, but there are number of dems that ALSO benefited through the actions of this lobbyist. Just ask the democratic legislators in the state of CT (Dodd Libermann) and their relationship with the indian casinos who Abramoff represented!...talk about some serious money!

Danr doesn't know what he is talking about...again!

Well that pretty well sums up why I don't bother to post much in this forum. It seems after about the first 4 to 6 posts on a topic, everything of any realy substance that can be said on either side has been, and anything that follows is just back and forth arguing and severe post-mortem equine abuse.

I believe what I believe, but unlike many, I do believe that it is possible for a sane and rational person to believe differently than I do, and still be sane and rational. I hold no sympathy for people who make irrational arguments, even when they tend to agree with my point of view. Irrational arguments bother me a lot more than opposing viewpoints do.

I have been following this story in the Native American press for a while, this is one of the big stories there. You should familiarize yourself with the story here http://www.indianz.com/ Go back into their archieves there are many stories there going back quite a while.

BTW he was a member of Bush's pioneer club (NO Dems allowed there)

    You injected the comment that...
The point of the thread, in my mind anyway, was to get those that can see no wrong what so ever in the current Republican party and administration to finally admit that not EVERYTHING can be blamed on the democrats attemps to discredit them. I would hardly call that a loaded question but rather a pointed assertion in the form of a question. Not every post has to be a debate precurser. Many are just thrown out there to make a point. I think that it probably feels a lot like a load question to you because it causes you some intellectual discomfort.

BTW It doesn't seem like the form of the question has stopped you from posting here so far. :)

Craig has made a valid point here in that many, not all, but many of the leftwing do not really have a belief in religion and some do not even have a belief in god so in effect the politics takes its place. After all was that not Marx and Engels plan as well?

There is a huge liberal tradition in the Jewish faith and the Catholic faith. Really people of faith tend to be liberal not conservative. Now there is a small group of branch christians (I think they call themselves Evangelicals?) in America that are conservative and the Republicans have taken advantage of them in a shameless way (especially in the South). Many of these are TV Christians with an odd theology that comes from Oral Roberts University.
Judaeo-Christian theology tends to align itself with liberal ideas and ideals. Shallow misunderstandings of Judaeo-Christian theology aligns with conservative ideas and ideals.

You got to be kidding me Danr.
Then why has the leftwing been attacking Jews and Christians by attacking Israel and Christmas as well as protraying both in a negative light on TV every chance they get.

Leftwing and liberal are two different things and to many leftwingers have claim to be liberal and have killed what Liberalism stands for.

Well as for me, I believe only half of the problems in the political system can be blamed on the democrats. Guess whose fault the other half are, lol...

It is a loaded question, because it assumes that anyone you're asking it to blames the democrats for everything. I can guarantee you that even most conservatives don't think all political problems are the democrats' fault. Except for the far left/far right fringe of both sides of the political spectrum, everyone tends to find fault with both major parties, the only difference is who they focus on more.

Keep in mind that not just republicans have received funds from Abramoff and his orginizations. Quite a few democrats have too.

Many Jews (even in Isreal) are against current Isreal policies, that does not mean that they are antisemetic. Many Jewish people are getting tired of these "proIsreal" Evangelicals (they scare them and are often considered antisemetic in a subtle way).
As for the Christmas thing I really can not think of any notable liberals who are anti Christmas.
