It's a different culture. Kids pretty much "buy" their way into their families. The father dictates how the kids live well into adulthood. The kids pool their money with their family. The father gives money to the children who need it the most (e.g. school or to start a business, etc). Girls of poor families move to towns around American bases to dance in the clubs and hustle drinks. They get these jobs by borrowing money from the club owner...which they then donate to their family. They work for the club owner until the debt is paid. The girls date GIs in hope of getting married or at least having their debt paid. The boyfriend has to pay the girls debt to get her to leave her job. When the boyfriend leaves, she goes back to the club for another family loan and to look for another guy.
what in particular are you babbling about? you were blathering lies about illegal aliens (domestic issue)
That's because nobody is debating if an already born child has a right to live. I guess use whatever terms you want, my question was more: how can you justify abortion in cases of rape and incest if "life is life?"
They're aborting babies after birth now. How do you feel about letting women out of jail early if they agree to be sterilized? California liberals were doing that as late as 2010. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is coming up now in part because of controversy over a Virginia abortion bill https://www.vox.com/policy-and-poli...live-abortion-survivors-protection-2020-sasse
you didn't even read it But reproductive rights and physician groups say the bill could criminalize doctors and is unnecessary — not only because a live birth after an abortion attempt is an extremely unlikely scenario but also because laws already exist to protect an infant in this instance anyway. “The bill maligns and vilifies providers and patients to push a false narrative about abortion later in pregnancy,” Dr. Kristyn Brandi, a board member of Physicians for Reproductive Health, told Vox in an email last year.
Really, no one is debating about an already born child? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...h-northam-third-trimester-abortion/index.html Exactly how many abortions are performed do to rape or incest? We can delve deeper into this narrative if you wish.
Why not set the legal birth date at +100 days? That way, the parents can make sure the baby is healthy and they want to make the commitment. How is that any different than -10 days? Why not let parents have their babies on consignment? ...like picking out a dog at the pound?
Forgive me, but that is a silly position. Life is life. It is the biological imperative of a human to procreate. It is not a biological imperative to abort that which a human has created. That is a construct of humans that have made life choices that they then regret, or that have been caused by actions of a deranged individual. That does not change the fact: life is life. Eliminate the life because of the biological action? Why is the new life guilty of the choices or deranged actions of the persons doing so?
Thank you Alfred, for your renowned theological and philosophical expertise., Both disciplines have a place for the humor of the utterings of the confused.
Responsibility seems to only apply to with those that have differing opinions. Some want mandated vaccinations but say mandatory sterilization is a violation of an individuals rights.
That’s a tough question, to which you already know the answer will be difficult. I don’t justify abortion under those circumstances. The imposition of consequences for choices made and the absence of consequences for choices not made by the mother is the obvious differentiator in that contrast. I don’t favor the termination of pregnancy, but understand arguments made for sympathetic treatment of victims of rape and incest. Am I conflicted in those situations? Yes. Am I conflicted when it comes to deliberate sex and accidental pregnancy? Absolutely not.
It is a hard one. While I don't agree necessarily with your conclusions, I appreciate your honesty in the answer.
Abortions were supposed to be safe, and rare. Does anyone remember that??? There are instances where abortions are warranted. Those situations are rare yet the left uses those instances to try to justify the expansion of abortions and demand taxpayer funding. Anybody remember Margret Sangers philosophy? I’m sure the dedicated leftest will say she was a champion of “women’s health” and defend her.
Gee FD, I offered a compliment of sorts in another thread. Then you come back with this usual stuff. Was I mistaken? I couldn’t find them written elsewhere. We’re those not your words?
Why is it difficult? Life is life, is it not? The circumstances of the creation of life do not justify the cessation of the life created, does it? What philosophical or theological or legal right to life position logically supports the death of life by the human that created that life? What is the guilt attached to the life that was created, that was committed? The "unborn vs. born" concept is a creation of the persons that created the life, and the concept is for one reason: to justify the responsibility of ending the life..
