http://www.forgivetaxcheats.com/ QUOTE FROM SITE:"It’s time for CHANGE. It’s time for REFORM. It’s time to WIPE THE SLATE CLEAN. Here’s how it would work: We immediately stop all new IRS audits of prior year returns. Anyone who cheated on a prior year return can register with a database*. Registering your return will acknowledge your commitment to comply with the law for all future filings. Registering will also mean that your prior returns may no longer be audited and any past indiscretions are excused. Starting with tax year 2006, the number of IRS auditors will be doubled and the entire enforcement budget will used to select, investigate, and audit new returns.
Hmmmm. How would this benefit anyone besides the cheats? Unless it is like one of those police sting operations where they tell all the crooks they have won a prize and get them to all show up to claim it. If so, I am all for it. Man, I love those stings!
The problem is that we have an income tax in the first place. As congressman Ron Paul has pointed out, it isn't necessary and it totally against traditional American values.
Ah yes, this may be what he tells you but, how does he vote on issues and is he successful in getting anything done for his constituency?
Ron Paul walks the talk. He returns part of his congressional office budget allotment every year and generally votes as a strict constitutionalist. He gets reelected so I guess at least 51% of his district is reasonably satisfied. I guess by "getting anything done for his constituency" you mean bring home the pork. Isn't it sad that "success" is not defined in this way?
This is pretty funny stuff. Nice take on how our elected leaders reward law breakers that are let us not forget illegal aliens.
Pretty soon if you steal a car, the government will give you a $1000.00 bucks, and the guy you stole it from will be put in jail. That sounds ridiculous, but stuff similar to that has happened here, like with Reagan's amnesty(and that shows that Republicans make the same mistakes democrats do) Craig
Yes he is one of your people isn't he Cloudy? The great Ronald E. Paul, Republican from Texas. The same guy who had made his fortune before he got into Congress as a paid abortionist with a Dr's license to kill. Someone who gets his money to run from office from 71.4% out of state contributers to his and your cause. The card carring member of the John Birch Society who just happened to vote against allowing Rosa Parks to be allowed to receive a medal of recognition. The guy who wants to legalize marijuana, and brags about voting for the right to grow and use the weed.. The same guy who gives back a total of $1,000 of his wages but, when faced with campaign reform, voted against the measure as being too restrictive. Yes sir Cloudy, he's definately one of your people!
The Rosa Parks vote was everyone else was in favor with The Great Ronald E. Paul being the only vote against the awarding of the honor. Yah, it kind of hard to get your way when your an odd ball like this!
God bless him, Old Dan. He's probably the only member of congress who doesn't intend to do anything to alter your lifestyle or put his hand in your pocket. I'm pretty sure Ron Paul's application for sainthood will stay at the bottom of the pile, but I can't think of a more qualified person to hold public office at a national level. I know that most people in America these days are frightened to death of real liberty and states rights, including you apparently, and probably would be more comfortable being governed by a western hemisphere style Taliban, but there are a few of us left who are comfortable running our own lives and letting others do the same. But don't worry, I'm fairly sure oppression will win out in the long run and you will be satisfied to know that your people won.
I haven't seen to much right wing posts by cloudy. Most seemed more liberal to me. But if he is defending Ron Paul then perhaps Cloudsweeper is a extreme rightest but then again if Ron Paul is one of those make your fortune by killing healthy, non-rape issue, unborn baby types then I wonder if Ron Paul is truly to the right and is just plain out of his mind.
