What part of ILLEGAL do you not understand? If people come into this country through illegal means, they need to be deported as soon as possible.

This is a slap in the face to those immigrants that follow the rules and due process...something that you appear to have no repect for by siding with these ILLEGALS.

As for profiling....remember 99.9999999% of all terrorist activities are committed by muslims and we should profile these people. After all, the very core of islam itself is founded on forced conversions, enslavement murder, and the rape of infidels (as per their prophet, no praise to him)

We should continue to profile these people and if someday, red headed Irish nuns start to strap bombs to themselves and die for Jesus, we should then profile them too! This is how you catch these animals and today's animals are muslims that follow "true" islam!

I went to college with guy that would start an argument with anyone for just saying good morning. He got off arguing with anyone about anything. His mouth would froth up, his eyes would narrow and off he'd go on this rant or that tirade for no conceivable reason any of us could figure out. Until one day just before many of us left the hallowed halls and went out into the world to make our way and seek our fortunes so to speak, Mark came upon a group of us dinning down in the kitchen area. We were talking about some campus activity that we found funny and I guessed we were laughing pretty hard and loudly.

We didn't think much about another person cruising through the area at the time because after all it was lunch time. At that point the conversation lulled due to some of us returning to our meals and others worn out from laughing. As I looked up I saw the most angry face I had ever seen in my life and asked Mark immediately what had happened. He flew into a rage of indignant insults and accusations the encompassed the entire group of at least twelve of us. It seemed that he had heard enough of our conversation to be absolutely sure we were disparaging him personally when in fact no one have even approached a discussion involving him. It didn't matter because he was convinced of the imagined injustice that had been perpetrated on his character and no one was going to convince him otherwise.

The last few months of school we spent with him he never said anything to any of us until the day we left. He never said good bye or even bothered to give back any items he had loaned to anyone and I know I wasn't interested in confronting him for any of my possessions either. It was as if he unplugged himself from the rest of us and was gutting it out alone despite repeated attempts by many of us to reconcile the original incident. As it turned out, he was the last one to leave as each of us in turn departed for good. After moving to an apartment across campus I ran into an old friend from my previous living situation and found out that half way through the summer Mark had fashioned a rope out of some bed sheets and went down into the laundry area and hung himself.

With all the potential friends around him he was unable to form any lasting relationships and eventually couldn't handle the isolation he self-imposed. There was probably some underlying medical problem that went undiagnosed that resulted in his suicide but I guess we'll never really know. I haven't met many people that remind me of Mark since that time but every once in a while...

You can choose any pair of looking glasses to soften it or change it to a different color, but sadly the truth remains. There are going to be more attacks from these animals and that's all this thread is about. When Radical Islam gets together with ANYTHING bad things happen...

Ben, I can't say that I take any of this personally. I consider the source and take into account the fear behind the behavior. I have spent too many years earning my psych degree to let every Tom, Dick, or Head-case get to me.

As far as it being the unvarnished truth or just a matter of chosen eye-wear, I believe that it is less important what adversity we face in life but rather how we handle that adversity that really matters in the end. Thanks for your concern and recommendation but I'm in a good place with my current position and I think I'll stay.

Also, my ancestors wanted to learn Englaish and become part of the American culture. They didn't bring the "old country" with them as they worked to assimilate into this country.

They didn't suggest "Islam for All" and demand America adapt to them, they adapted to America...something you don't see today...especially from the muslim communitty and the hate that is spewed in their mosques.

As for the islamic mess in the world and since muslims are responsible for 99.99999% of the world's terror attacks in the name of their cult religion, these people should be photographed, finger printed, and for addtional measures, a DNA database should be tabulated.

Your ACLU buddies may object to the DNA database, but this falls in line with why we finger print people today...to log and solidify people's identification.

Look...our borders are wide open and easy for your next muslim jihadist to enter. If one of these bas-tards stays beyond his VISA, we need to hunt him down and deport him A.S.A.P. A Muslim woman police officer has sparked a new debate by refusing to shake hands with Britain's most senior police chief for religious reasons.

The incident happened at a passing-out parade where Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair was inspecting a line-up of 200 recruits.


In addition to refusing a traditional congratulatory handshake from Sir Ian, the WPC - who wore a traditional Muslim hijab headscarf - also declined to be photographed with him as she did not want the picture used for 'propaganda purposes'.

The woman had earlier insisted that it was contrary to her religious teaching for her to touch a man. Now The Mail on Sunday has learned that her gesture has sparked top-level discussions at Scotland Yard. Some officers argue that her attitude towards men might impede her ability to detain offenders. However, it is clear that she is happy to come into contact with men, just not shake their hand or kiss them.

An inquiry has now been launched and the unidentified WPC - described as 'a non-Asian Muslim' - could face the sack if it is considered that her strict religious beliefs prevent her performing as an effective police officer.
However, senior commanders are worried that dismissing her would deepen the atmosphere of mistrust between the police and the Muslim community.
The incident happened at Imber Court, Scotland Yard's sports and conference centre at Thames Ditton in South West London, when the 200 recruits attended a passing-out parade having completed their 18 weeks' basic training.

A senior police source said: "Before Sir Ian arrived she told her training supervisor that she was not going to shake his hand because it was against her religion.

"She also said she did not want her picture taken with the commissioner because they would only use it for propaganda. "Sir Ian was informed on his arrival of the officer's request. This has never happened before and he was bloody furious. But he agreed to go along with it so as not to cause a scene.

"He went out and shook the hand of every single new recruit apart from her. It was very obvious and very embarrassing.

"There was a great deal of discussion about it afterwards. People were asking how the hell is she going to make an arrest if she refuses to touch men."

As some know, I just returned from visiting my home in Texas. I have a friend who owns a Farm/Ranch/Feed store just outside of town, Centerville, Tx. Well I was talking to him and the Leon County Sherrif one afternoon when on the news television station (KPRC 2, Houston) there was a blurb about women wearing the abbaya (sp) and the hijab about town.

Now, I'll quote this so you won't get confused as to who said it. Tommy says, 'If one of those ragheads came up in here with that mask and hood on I'd think I was getting robbed and drop them right where they stood." The sherrif just shook his head and said "Yep, one never knows..."

Moem lets change this around a bit How would you sugest that we deal with Radical Islam? and Illigal Imigrants or visa overstayers ?
Here in the UK we have tried very hard to be tollerant often to the detriment of the indiginouse population but it has not worked, We get shouts of Racism from muslims whenever we stand up for our culture but they can preach death & destruction with impunity, something is not right somewhere.
I am of the belief that if someone is in our country illigaly then they should be deported, if someone calls for the violent overthrow of our democracy or the death of another, they should be arrested and deported (unless they are born here then they should face a trial for sedition or incitment to murder) and I honestly dont care what religion they are that should apply to all.
I think that we should stop all aid to countries that activly harbour known terrorists and develope new forms of fuel for example convert sugar into gasoline for cars, this would lower our dependency on Arab oil producers, alongside this we could stop tourism and trade. If someone wants to live in my country then let them follow our rules as they would expect us to do in there country.

The less people understand a culture, the more they fear it. All the tough talk in this thread is nothing but a symptom of that fear. Midas is clearly frightened of his own shadow and angry with the world in general. He has so much in common with the fanatics he despises.

A lot like your friend in Texas, he lashes out at anything different from himself. Sometimes people travel in circles so small that they think they've seen it all. All the flowery text, overly dramatic proclamations, and bellicose, belligerent verbosity point to a highly unstable individual in the case of Midas. He can not benefit from this insight but anyone that may have the impulse to pay heed to his ramblings beware the source.

I think cabin fever is greatly exaggerating his already precarious mental health. Run rabbit run...They're comin' to get you!

Nearly every one of your posts bashes Midas for not stating his ideas or 'talking tough.' Well, Midas has clearly stated and reiterated his opinions numerous times. How about you answer some questions for a change? Here's a start - a few questions Midas answered with logical, feasable responses.

1. Should we round up anyone of the Muslim faith and put them in internment camps?
2. Should we round them (Muslims) up and deport them?
3. Should we round them (Muslims) up and shoot them?

 

Finally a good rational question in this thread. Radical Islam is the challenge of our and probably the next generation. There are no blanket solutions or simple answers to the problem. The answers will require us to perform a balancing act between rooting out anyone that may wish to harm our citizens and keeping the civil rights that make our society the freest and best in history. We can't knee-jerk react to this challenge by throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I for one, don't want to live in a policestate with unlimited government authority to deprive anyone they feel is a threat of their very freedom. Once they can do it to one group they can do it to the rest of us. Midas always claims he wants less intrusive government but at the same time is willing to hand over his and my civil rights because he is so affraid.

Our governments aren't completely stupid, just certain administrations. They know that this threat must be met head on. It's going to take time new technologies and patience to overcome this threat. There has been many missteps already and there are more down the road. Failing to understand, communicate and build bridges where we can are dead ends that will only prolong this struggle and aid the enemy. Where the military can be used it must be used swiftly and decisively for maximum effectiveness. It can't be our only option as some would have us believe. The chest-beating war mongers of our society are the flip side of the fanatics we face across the divide in this conflict. They can't be allowed to steer this conversation anymore than the radicals of Islam can be allowed to speak for their religion. If we are the wiser society and the more rational group, we should occupy the higher ground to win the war of ideals. The more we pit ourselves against the entire Islamic world the more we become a recruiting vehicle or the extemists. They know that, do you?

The facts and history of this cult religion is clear. They have NO intention or being tolerant of any other religions unless you accept islam, and ONLY islam (again, found numerous times per the koran). It is not a "handful" of muslim that believe this, there are MILLIONS upon MILLIONS which are causing havoc in countries all over the world. Britian has their hands full of this cancer, so does France, so does the Netherlands, so does Germany and so does too many countries in Africa to mention along with the Far East. What's worse is that this cancer is spreading here WITHIN our corders.

The Islamic Terror Timeline is well over a 1,000 pages long, and yet reading this review without first coming to understand this cult religion of islam, and the religion's direct connection to terrorism, would be like erecting a house before establishing the foundation. Said another way, I believe the best way to understand today, is to view it from the perspective of yesterday. Once one knows where man has been, it's easy to predict where he is going and why he is headed there.

The evidence - the only evidence - proves beyond any doubt that Muslims are terrorists because muhammad, islam's lone prophet and allah's singular voice, was a ruthless and dedicated terrorist.

Islamic militants, as liberals call "insurgents" today, are actually good and "true" muslims, not bad ones. The jihadists haven't corrupted islam or th koran, hijacked their religion, nor interpreted it incorrectly, and therefore they aren't radicals. Islam isn't a peaceful religion; it is a declaration of war against all mankind and all non-believers. While "bad" muslims can be "moderate" and "peaceful", they have no influence because the koran tells "true" Muslims to kill them.

Since what I claim is rationally irrefutable, it means that virtually everyone else is lying - including the president of the United States who called islam a "peaceful" religion publically...but I bet behind closed doors, he knows islam NOT a "religion of peace".

With the liberty and prosperity of the entire world at stake, with blood and dollars being spilled in great quantities over the "war on terror" - why?
