Color television is certainly a lot more fun than this terribly

What is Celiac Disease? And why do you get it on top of everything else
    you've been through?

However, getting rid of that port has to be cause for celebration.

Okay. I did an "Internet" search for "Celiac" and guess what I learned?
My search yielded some "website" with information about the disease, or
whatever, but here's the good part: it had a banner advert from won (1)
of their sponsors, and it was for BEER. (http://www.celiac.com/) So,
whatever Celiac disease is, it is apparently a disease which requires
the drinking of beer!!! So whatever it may be, it is the best disease
you could possibly have. I mean, I have "asthma" and "anger control"
issues but neither of those recommend the drinking of beer. Drink won
    (1) on me, "Per." I ENVY YOU, "PER," FOR YOU HAVE A BEER-ASSOCIATED
    DISEASE. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!2!!!!!

Beer made with barley, rye, and/or wheat would make me feel bad. I need

    From Wikipedia

Coeliac disease, also spelled celiac disease, is an autoimmune disorder
of the small bowel that occurs in genetically predisposed people of all
ages from middle infancy. Symptoms include chronic diarrhoea, failure to
thrive (in children) and fatigue, but these may be absent and symptoms
in all other organ systems have been described. It is estimated to
affect about 1% of Indo-European populations, although significantly
underdiagnosed. A growing portion of diagnoses are being made in
asymptomatic persons as a result of increasing screening.[1]

Coeliac disease is caused by a reaction to gliadin, a gluten protein
found in wheat (and similar proteins of the tribe Triticeae which
includes other cultivars such as barley and rye). Upon exposure to
gliadin, the enzyme tissue transglutaminase modifies the protein, and
the immune system cross-reacts with the bowel tissue, causing an
inflammatory reaction. That leads to flattening of the lining of the
small intestine, which interferes with the absorption of nutrients. The
only effective treatment is a lifelong gluten-free diet.

    ?

    Vegans eat gluten.

That's the protein that makes wheat bread nice and springy.
