I'll take Reagan-style empty suit image politics and a little Mark Foley house page scandle over the overthrow of our constitution government anytime. Oh Yeah, I forgot about all the Republican sex scandles...Opps!
The problem with you Rush Limbaugh lovin' Righties is that your neck only bends as far back as the last scandle you can pin on the other party. I've yet to here one of you partisan righties admit that both parties have their share of scandles and crooked players. It just makes your opinion hollow and void of anything this side of reality. Keep yapping, you only make the Left's case for them.

I believe there have been quite a few references to sex scandals and other problems affecting both parties throughout this forum. I enjoy goading you in particular for your very narrow minded view of our government. Again I will state, our representatives in the house & senate are not Innocent school children. Democrats were not powerless in the past six years. If they had strong opposing views, or better ideas, they certainly could have made themselves known much earlier than before it became politically correct to do so. It's ridiculous to try pinning the blame on a single person in our government.:kewl:

You mean the the Democrats were not powerless to do what...Prevent the abuses by the Bush Adminstration and the Republican controlled congress? Are you saying that if they only had some good ideas the abuses of the Bush Administration may not have occurred? Are you saying that they should have done more to present an alternative to the abuses of our democratic government by the Bush Administration? Are you saying that they should have done more to counter the misinformation and manipulation heaped on the American people by the Bush Administration? You sound like the type of person that would blame dead soldiers for not trying harder. You're some American all right! Just not the kind we need any more of. :hail:
Fantastic goading lwrncwg! Now if you follow the rest of your Conservative ilk, you'll declare yourself the moral, intellectual, and patriotic superior and believe that everyone here agrees with your point of view, pat yourself on the back and bask in your own afterglow. Enjoy your weekend. You earned it! :thumb:

    Mad ?

Every administration since day one has lied to the people. Sometimes out of necessity , other times to cover errors or gross miscalculations .
Common ground will keep us together hopefully. If not we will crash because of our small causes , but never looking at the big picture .
FDR was a fine mind but missed the image of what Stalin really was . Four terms elected, some called him a dictator. He did a lot to keep us from loosing our democracy. He also ruled with an iron fist and used the gold call to fortify many projects that put the country to work.
This country was not started by a group of pilgrims ! It was started when a bunch of rich slave owning white guys , who figured out how to make a country. It falters periodically but we let socialists, communists, illegals, and terrorists stand on our shores. That happens no where else in the world. We survive by working together, WW2 proved that. We should share blame as well as glory. Some citizens get it, some never will.
    Which are you ?

Moen, as an advocate for the so called "peoples party" you give very little leeway for opposing views. You take person attack to an extraordinary level. Freedom of speech is one of our most valued constitutional values. I would appreciate your keeping this in mind, if you have enough room for the thought.

If as you say you are only interested in goading people here anyway, why would I or anyone else care what you think while you go about yanking peoples chains? Hum? Either you're interested in the conversation or you aren't. Cynical attempts at the high ground at this point just seem disingenuous.

That is hardly what I said Moen. You attempt to verbally destroy any opposing thought, so the temptation to throw a barb your way is always there. I notice I'm not the only contributor to the forum to feel the same. Your arrogance often overrides your intelligence.:kewl:

That is exactly what you said. I was quoting you. I do like it when someone attempts to include others opinions in their staements. Your opinion can't stand alone so you opt to include others that aren't even part of the conversation to try and add some imagined credibility to your barbs(your word). An arrogant person would enjoy goading others for the fun of it with a destinct air of superiority. Sound like anyone we know Larry?

You don't have a clue as to my intelligence but I'll let you in on a little secret anyway. I have heard and seen evidence here that people often accuse others of the behaviors they regularly display themselves. Mind your own arrogance and let me worry about mine.
