“Bushnesia” Rivaling Alzheimer’s Disease

Bushnesia: The inability to remember anything that happened prior to January 20th 2009. Loss of memory with regard to the economy, the debt, the recession, TARP, job losses, or anything else to do with Bush years from 2001 until the aforementioned date. Symptoms include anger for bringing up those years, denial that they even happened and neck muscles so stiff that turning around and seeing even the recent past is impossible for those afflicted with this debilitating disease.

 

One disease is a horrible condition for individuals and their families, the other is a horrible condition for the country. Neither is curable, the former by medicine, the latter by truth.

If 9-11 hadn't happened, Jr. would just have been nothing more than a dimwit republican president ripe for future generations to mock. After 9-11, he became the means to an end for an agenda full of payback (to Iraq, for putting a hit on his father) and financial opportunities for friends (through no-bid contracts in Iraq)...and that was just the first six months.

The administration (led by Cheney & Rumsfeld) quickly realized the golden opportunity 9-11 was to really take advantage of the American people's rage and heightened state of fanatic patriotism. They wrote themselves a "free pass" on the use of torture and illegal wiretaps, knowing Americans were too busy being enraged about being attacked to question the new policies. And they didn't stop until enough people snapped-out of their patriotic frenzy and began to question the need for those policies.

Yeah, Jr. is not the brightest bulb, and was an immense source of humorous entertainment whenever he spoke, but really...he was more a "good ol' boy" and was manipulated from within more than anything else. The two I blame most are named above. In my view, they were the real leaders behind the issues (along with a select group of insiders like Rove who worked more behind the scenes then the first two mentioned), with Jr. simply being the means to an end.

 

Bush, the presidency the Right has repressed like a red-headed step child. Of course they Reagan would have been convicted in Iran-Contra and the Right only remembers the Berlin wall coming down. Nixon was an out and out criminal and was the only sitting president that quit before he was impeached. Quite the track record for the Right.

 

This conservative left the Repo's in 2006 and registered Indy.
Bush 43 was the worst thing that has happened to America untill Obama.
I know Mr Nation spews only Media Matters talking points and opinions, but I tend to agree on ocassion. W sucked.

I didn't say W sucked. I pretty much said that people, unlike you, can't seem to acknowledge that he even existed. At least you’ve been consistent on that point. But there are those same people that voted for old W that now want to tell me and others on the Left that Obama is evil incarnate and that Romney is the only savior this country has. Why would anyone take the word of people that can't even admit that their last choice was pathetic or that he even existed or did anything in 8 years? I'll give you credit for admitting just how pathetic W was. See if you can even get one of the RW'ers here to admit that they even remember Bush Jr. Good luck. Hence Bushnesia. It's sort of an obvious symptom of a deeper problem.

You're faking Arizona Jack's ID. His is spelled differently. People assumed it was Jack because the name was close and you played it because you probably knew Jack, so I'm guessing you're either Lehigh or David because they are the only 2 childish enough to play a silly little game like this.

In my defense, I have been rather busy slapping righties around and looking at necro-posts.

It also doesn't help that I don't know the real AJ that well, having only wished him well when he said he was not going to post for a while, wayyy back.

Still, the posts did seem a bit odd to me, too agreeable, but I wrote most of that off as my not knowing AJ well. I wish my intuition had yelled a little louder LOL

 

No, it's me. Wouldn't let me log in for some reason, so I just started a new account. BUT, I choose to keep my old screen name rather than change it totally in order to make it appear there are more socialists than there actually are.

My old account stopped working. Every post just timed out so I created a new more generic ID. It didn't matter which computer I logged in on, the account still wouldn't work. I was honest about why I did it and told everyone and stopped using my old account. Why didn't you let people know you had changed your account ID? I don't think you'd try to be dishonest but it has led to some confusion.

Hey David, for a brief moment I thought it could have been you. I thought that maybe I had slapped you around a bit too much during your game .....and you had applied for early senility.

 

Yeah, there were no devious shenanigans whatsoever, but you still got accused by someone who should have taken the proper route and asked the Moderator to verify the account and then wait for an answer. That would have been the right thing to do, but you were libeled instead even though you were perfectly innocent of any wrongdoing. It sounds like a tactic Obama would use based upon his years in dirty, Chicago politics.

But, what the Democrats don't realize is that many people are no longer blinded by Obama's phony, golden halo and can see that these types of tactics come directly from the Democratic Party teaching handbook. That actually is not an old saying and Jack DID create a new ID and did not tell anyone. I told people when I changed my ID and you jumped up and down and said it was against the rules. Turns out it wasn't. You still look like the same fool.
