Hasn't Minnesota (and the rest of the country for that matter) had enough of this clown? It's way past time for this asshat to join his ex-running mate Kamala in the annals of obscurity. But, if Minnesotans want to be seen as idiots for maintaining this weird, creepy, crooked moron in power, I suppose that's their business.

Minnesota government workers blame Walz for 'massive fraud' amid allegations against Somali community

More than 400 current staff members say governor 'systematically retaliated' against whistleblowers

    November 30, 2025

More than 400 employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) accused Gov. Tim Walz of failing to act on widespread fraud warnings and retaliating against whistleblowers.

The Minnesota Department of Human Service Employees account, which says it consists of more than 480 current staff members at the Minnesota DHS, wrote on X that Walz is "100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota."

"We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on, hoping for a partnership in stopping fraud but no, we got the opposite response. Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression, and did his best to discredit fraud reports," the group claimed. "In addition to retaliating against whistleblower, Tim Walz disempowered the Office of the Legislative Auditor, allowing agencies to disregard their audit findings and guidance."

Walz's office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

The group’s claims come as federal prosecutors continue to unravel one of the nation’s largest COVID-era fraud cases.

The Justice Department announced new charges last week against the 78th defendant in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme, which prosecutors say involved more than $250 million in stolen funds from a federally-funded child nutrition program and has already resulted in over 50 convictions. Many of the individuals charged come from Minnesota’s Somali community.

The New York Times reported that what initially appeared to many Minnesotans as an isolated case of pandemic-era fraud has broadened into a much wider concern for state and federal officials.

The Times reported that over the past five years, according to law enforcement authorities, several fraud schemes proliferated in parts of Minnesota’s Somali community. A number of individuals allegedly created companies that billed state agencies for millions of dollars’ worth of social services that were never delivered.

MINNESOTA TAXPAYER DOLLARS FUNNELED TO AL-SHABAAB TERROR GROUP, REPORT ALLEGES

The Manhattan Institute’s City Journal also alleged in a report, citing unnamed federal counterterrorism sources, that some stolen funds were transferred to Somalia and may have ended up with the terror group Al-Shabaab, though none of the federal charges in the fraud cases include any link to terrorism.

Walz addressed the fraud at a press conference last week, saying it "undermines trust in government," and "undermines programs that are absolutely critical in improving quality of life."

"If you’re committing fraud, no matter where you come from, what you look like, what you believe, you are going to go to jail," Walz said.

Walz faced a question about the situation on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday, when host Kristen Welker pressed him on the allegations and asked him if he takes responsibility for failing to stop the fraud in his state.

"Well, certainly, I take responsibility for putting people in jail," the governor responded.

"I will note, it's not just Somalis. Minnesota is a generous state. Minnesota is a prosperous state, a well-run state. We're AAA-bond rated. But that attracts criminals. Those people are going to jail. We're doing everything we can. But to demonize an entire community on the actions of a few, it's lazy," he said.

Trump said in a Nov. 21 Truth Social post that he would be terminating the temporary protected status for Somalis in Minnesota, citing "fraudulent money laundering activity."

"Send them back to where they came from. It’s OVER!" he wrote.

Hey @GeneWright, with all the information coming out that Tampon Tim is corrupt and a fraud, I just have some questions for you.

Being as your family is from Minnesota, did you know about his corruption before he was selected as VP?

Or is this revelation something that you’re only now learning?

    Askin’ for a friend…

'No way' Walz administration was unaware of Minnesota fraud scandal, Emmer says

'Whoever was responsible needs to be held accountable,' House GOP Majority Whip Emmer, the No 3 House Republican, told Fox News Digital

    December 22, 2025

EXCLUSIVE: The highest-ranking Minnesotan in Congress is demanding accountability for anyone who was involved in or aware of the growing social services fraud scandal in the Gopher State.

"I think as they start to peel this onion back, which just seems to be getting deeper and deeper and broader and broader, whoever was responsible needs to be held accountable," House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, the No. 3 House Republican, told Fox News Digital.

It comes after U.S. attorneys suggested that Minnesota social services programs could have seen potentially billions of dollars' worth of fraud and abuse since 2018.

Top state officials like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz have heaped doubt on the size and scope floated by federal authorities, though Walz has said he has been working to crack down on the millions of dollars' worth of fraud that has been detected.

Emmer stopped short of calling for Walz to resign when asked by Fox News Digital, stating, "I don't think that's my call," but said anyone found to be culpable in the scandal should be held accountable.

"I would put it this way — everyone is entitled to due process, and we need all the facts. But if someone knowingly and willingly allowed people to steal the taxpayers' money and send it back to terrorists in Somalia, they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law," he said.

Federal prosecutors in Minnesota have charged multiple people with stealing more than $240 million from the Federal Child Nutrition Program through the Minnesota-based nonprofit Feeding Our Future.

The nonprofit's founder, Aimee Bock, was found guilty of multiple counts related to fraud in a trial earlier this year.

The probe has since widened to multiple state-run programs being investigated for potential fraud, however.

"This thing is mushrooming into a much bigger fraud issue spanning over several different programs and potentially different jurisdictions," Emmer said. "As this thing mushrooms, number one, let's make sure we hold the people accountable. I will tell you what I believe. My personal opinion is there is no way that a billion dollars-plus got its way out of the Walz administration without someone in the administration being aware and/or complicit."

"That's what we need to find out — how high does that go? According to our U.S. attorney, it goes to the highest level of Minnesota government. He didn't use names, but I know what the highest level is. We'll see. Let's see the proof."

Walz, who is running for a third term, took accountability in remarks to reporters on Friday: "This is on my watch. I am accountable for this. And more importantly, I am the one that will fix it."

But he questioned whether federal prosecutors' accusations that the fraud could have totaled in the billions were politically motivated.

"You should be equally outraged about $1 or whatever that number is, but they're using that number without the proof behind it," Walz said. "But to extrapolate what that number is for sensationalism, or to make statements about it, it doesn't really help us."

98 Minnesota mayors warn state fiscal policies are hurting cities, residents and local budgets

A letter to state lawmakers cites fraud, unchecked spending and forcing property tax increases on residents and businesses

    December 22, 2025

A group of 98 Minnesota mayors raised concerns with state leaders in a letter about their state's fiscal policies, saying they have impacted their cities and residents, noting a disappearing $18 billion surplus and a projected $2.9 billion to $3 billion deficit for the 2028-29 biennium.

In a letter to state lawmakers and Gov. Tim Walz, the 98 mayors expressed concern and frustration, said the state was slipping in national economic rankings.

"Fraud, unchecked spending, and inconsistent fiscal management in St. Paul have trickled down to our cities—reducing our capacity to plan responsibly, maintain infrastructure, hire and retain employees, and sustain core services without overburdening local taxpayers," the letter states.

Cities across the state now face workforce shortages, slowed business investment, rising operational and construction costs, and families choosing to leave Minnesota altogether, the letter states.

In addition, the mayors noted potential property tax increases as a result of unfunded state mandates and costs that force cities to shift the burden to residents and businesses.

"There is a growing disconnect between state-level fiscal decisions and the strain they place on the cities we lead, the letter said. "When the state expands programs or shifts responsibilities without stable funding, it is our residents—families, seniors, businesses, and workers—who ultimately bear the cost."

    1.png

Unfunded mandates include requests for schools, health and human services, and public safety.

Minnesota Republican lawmakers put the blame on Walz and Democrats.

"Governor Walz and Democrats passed unaffordable spending and tax increases along with unfunded mandates on the promise it would make life more affordable," state Republican Sen. Andrew Lang, who serves as the Lead on the Senate State and Local Government Committee, said in a statement. "In reality they just passed down the costs to local governments, schools, and small businesses, who in turn pass down costs to local taxpayers and consumers.

"Minnesota Counties sounded the alarm early last session about the proposals to shift costs onto their budgets, so I’m not surprised that nearly 100 mayors across the state are raising their own concerns. This letter is a warning that we must reduce state spending, stop the massive fraud plaguing our state, and remove unnecessary mandates to keep life affordable for everyone."

Fox News Digital has reached out to Walz's office.

The mayors noted that a state statute requires a balanced budget but that relying on one-time surplus dollars has created structural strain.

"Our state owes it to our citizens to practice responsible fiscal management and to stop taxing our families, seniors, and businesses out of Minnesota," they said. "We urge the Legislature to course-correct and to remember that every dollar you manage belongs not to the Capitol, but to the people of Minnesota."

It's my personal opinion that Tampon Walz is and has been a horrible governor. His policies are not grounded in fiscal responsibility and he's way too liberal. He was an absolutely awful candidate for Vice-President (as evidenced with the election of 2024). He needs to resign immediately for the good of the citizens of Minnesota.

Several Republican lawmakers in Minnesota released a statement officially calling on the state's Democratic governor, Tim Walz, to resign in light of the unfolding fraud scandal that has spiraled during his tenure.

"Minnesotans have been watching the fraud crisis get worse and worse for years. It has gone on long enough," Minnesota state Senators Bill Lieske and Nathan Wesenberg, along with state Reps. Marj Fogelman, Drew Roach and Mike Wiener, said in a Monday press release.

"This is not about politics or stunts, and we do not make a call like this lightly. The office of the governor deserves respect, and we have tried to give Gov. Walz time to act."

The group cites Article 8, Section 6 of the Minnesota Constitution, which lists serious malfeasance in the performance of official duties, as the reason to recall executive and interior officers, but stopped short of calling for an official recall effort.

The lawmakers explained that "leadership means doing the right thing even when it is difficult, which is why we are calling on Gov. Walz to resign."

"We are talking about billions of dollars in fraud that should have gone to vulnerable Minnesotans. The red flags were everywhere. Yet, year after year, the fraud kept growing, and year after year, nothing changed."

Earlier this month, federal prosecutors revealed that the fraud scandal in Minnesota, primarily found within the state's Somali community, could cost taxpayers as much as $9 billion dollars.

The Monday call from Republicans for Walz to resign comes shortly after a viral video by journalist Nick Shirley, seen more than 100 million times on X, highlighting suspected fraudulent daycare locations prompted even more scrutiny on Walz.

Walz's office pushed back on the criticism shortly after the video went viral.

"The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action," a Walz spokesperson said. "He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed."

The spokesperson added that Walz has "hired an outside firm to audit payments to high-risk programs, shut down the Housing Stabilization Services program entirely, announced a new statewide program integrity director, and supported criminal prosecutions."

Calls for Walz to resign have increased in recent weeks, including from Trump's Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Fox News Digital first reported earlier this month.

The lawmakers said in their statement that the fraud scandal is the "number one" issue they hear from their constituents, along with questions about why no one in power has been held accountable.

"What we are seeing from the governor is what nonfeasance looks like," the lawmakers wrote. "When a governor fails to do what he is required to do, when he watches a crisis spiral out of control and does nothing to stop it, that is nonfeasance. The governor had a duty to oversee his administration and protect these programs. He failed. There needs to be consequences.

"For the good of the state, Gov. Walz should step aside. Minnesota needs accountability, a reset, and new leadership that can get us back on the right track."
