I'm willing to provisionally accept that this article from ten years ago is accurate. What it describes is Kennedy apparently planning to try to get Soviet representatives (including the General Secretary) to come to the US and explain their position. As if in the midst of the Cold War, Americans were going to believe anything that the Soviets were telling them. Ted Kennedy was many things, but he never struck me as particularly brilliant, and if this plan had come to fruition, the result would have been more egg on Kennedy's face. It would have only helped Reagan.

I guess the OP is trying to draw some parallel between this and the Russian hacking. There is no parallel. Fail.

Talk about Trump's lies and broken promises here, and people try to turn it into a discussion about Clinton. That's expected, even if it is somewhat pointless now. A lot of bile has been built up around Clinton, and I guess it's got to spew somewhere. What's a bit less expected is that a thread that attempts to smear a Democratic politician who's been dead for years has been turned into yet another place to rant about Clinton. Funny stuff!
