Today, I saw a debate, about the "crusades" and why its politically correct to be ashamed, if you are a Christian, since these Templars/ Teutonic/ Hospitaliers Knight Orders were the Pope's way of taking territory from the Islamic Caliphates in Egypt, Syria, and the Levant. Well, the truth is being covered up. It was the Umayyad Caliphate founded by Muhammad that waged a Jihad, from the 650AD, by 714AD they conquered with their armies, a vast Caliphate that spread from Afghanistan to the Levant, across North Africa, all of Spain, into France. Here they were finally stopped by Charles Martel at Tours. During this period of conquest, they slashed, raped, burned thousands of towns, millions died, tens of thousands enslaved. So, the crusaders, in reality liberated enslaved people, that were under the Caliphates rule. Thus, we can compare, the Iran War, as a crusade to free enslaved Iranians, esp. women and girls from a tyrannical regime. Luckily, a civil war fractured the Umayyads, thus Islamist were fighting each other, once the unity collapsed so did their power.
