I do love that CBS got their behinds handed to them by following the FOX model of misinformation. I wonder when FOX will apologize for just being FOX? Lara Logan Apologizes For Botched '60 Minutes' Benghazi Report, Says Show Will Issue Correction In a humiliating retreat from a piece she had staunchly defended, "60 Minutes" correspondent Lara Logan admitted on Friday morning that she and the news magazine had made a "mistake" in their reporting of a controversial story about the Benghazi attacks. She apologized to viewers and said "60 Minutes" will issue a correction about the reliability of one of her key sources, security contractor Dylan Davies, on its next program. "We were wrong to put him on air," she said, adding, "We will apologize to our viewers and we will correct the record on our broadcast on Sunday night." It emerged on Thursday that Davies, who gave Logan a hair-raising, detailed account of his actions during the 2012 attack, had previously told the FBI that he hadn't even gone to the site where it took place. This was the second occasion where Davies had been recorded as saying that he wasn't at the scene of the crime. He had already admitted to doing so once, but CBS and Logan had firmly backed him, saying that he had lied to his employer to protect himself. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/...60-minutes-benghazi-correction_n_4239046.html
I wonder how much of that "error" they made had to do with the book Dylan Davies had published. BTW, the publisher was Simon and Shuster - a CBS company
What does that have to do with the Administration's insistence that the attack was the spontaneous response to an offensive video?
Either Davies lied to CBS/Simon and Schuster or he lied to the FBI. If he lied to CBS it does kind of kick some evidence out from under the Right's Benghazi narrative. Not that that matters to the Right, since they can just cook up some more evidence to fill any resulting gaps. Breitbart lives. At any rate, S&S is pulling the book. "In light of information that has been brought to our attention since the initial publication of 'The Embassy House,' we have withdrawn from publication and sale all formats of this book, and are recommending that booksellers do the same," Jennifer Robinson, spokeswoman for Threshold Editions, said Friday. "We also are notifying accounts that they may return the book to us." http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...utes-benghazi-source-20131108,0,2045072.story But why are we wasting time on this when we could be talking about the lies of the Muslim, terrorist, Fascist, Socialist, Communist, Gay, Kenyan dictator in the White House?
But they would not have anything to "cook up" if only the current administration would release the actual facts or even just let Congress talk to the people involved and were there. Did you ever wonder no one has been captured/prosecuted for these attacks - that is except Nakoula and I think most really believe he had absolutely nothing to do with Benghazi. Hey. the way to stop this cooked up evidence (aka rumors) would be simple to release the actual facts like Obama promised his "open and transparent" administration would do, but then that was Obama speaking so you know what you can do with his promises.

Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name "David Foy." This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what's considered American soil.) September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting "Allahu akbar" storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had beenmarried for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the secondattack on this embassy in seven months. This kind of thing is the cost of doing empire. By all means fly the flags at half mast, have the funerals and the eulogies, and devote a week or two to expressions of sorrow and anger. But having thus indulged ourselves we then need to buck up and get on with our global mission. Bengahzi doesn't represent anything new. The only thing that's different is that for some reason people who didn't give a rip about something like this before are getting all worked up about it now. Sadly, more stuff like this will probably happen in the future, no matter who is in the White House. It is and will continue to be a dangerous world full of evil and uncooperative people. But we must put it into perspective. We must not let things like this dishearten us or divert us from out goal of establishing in the world a true Pax Americana http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/13-benghazis-that-occurre_b_3246847.html
Now you can tell me just exactly how many of those 13 examples remain unsolved. Oh, and maybe more importantly, just how many Americans were killed in your examples.
If you're that interested and wish to pursue it further feel free. Google is your friend. My only point was that when you're an empire, you have to expect this kind of stuff. Sh*t happens. You need to grow up, deal with it, and focus on the larger picture. Kind of like you did when Americans were dying in Iraq on a weekly basis. You seem to have adopted the idea that now the Pax Americana can be imposed and maintained without sacrifice and hardship. Cost of doing business, pal. It's not a pretty world out there.
Perhaps...yet knowing this, don't you think it's our Government has a responsibility to do everything possible to protect the people on the front lines? ...and after failing to do so, take responsibility? ...instead of hiding behind a false narrative?
Yes, that was the whole point of this. Obama has not grown up, dealt with it, and focused on the larger picture. He is still hiding from the truth. BTW, I know how many Americans were killed and I know how many of those incidents remain unsolved. You might try using Google before you try to post them again.
The first part of your post makes no sense in the context of what I posted. As for the second part, good. Then you don't need google. You are a SILLY old man and a total waste of time. BTW, good luck with getting the 'Merkan People as up in arms about Bengahzi as you are. I don't think it's going to happen.
In case it has been going over your head, Benghazi wasn't so great a deal. Not particularly nice, but next to Syria, Afghanistan, or even Fort Hood it was not so great. On the other hand, blaming it on a video, hiding the evidence, blocking testimony, etc. is from any administration and then you consider it comes from what was promised to be the most "open and transparent" administration. And then you add the rest of his lies.
If you really truly want honesty, I think if Benghazi represents anything, it is how one political party can use the deaths of brave Americans to further it's political ambitions. Face it, the Right hated Obama long before the deaths of these good Americans and you have to ignore all of that AND the multiple deaths of State Department personnel over the years, and all the overseas terrorists acts against Americans, and everything this country has endured as a result of our foreign policies, and then somehow believe that this one incident is somehow a enormous cover-up because they want it to be so badly. Keep scratching at the scab that is the death of these American heroes. I'm sure it will pan out for you just like the birther nonsense, just like the death panel nonsense, just like fast and furious nonsense, just like every other hateful narrative the Right uses to enrage the rube class. In other words, keep producing Tea Party converts and see where that gets you.
Then why is the administration hiding the evidence? Why did they lie about it? Now that Obama has become a noted liar, he may have fun trying to get out of Benghazi.
1. What "evidence" are they hiding? 2. What "lie" are you referring to? 3. So you simply assume he lied without being able to prove it and go from there.
1. Congress has repeatedly ask to speak to the survivors who were present in Benghazi. Just how many have been allowed to testify? Who was it who decided not to get help into Benghazi? Who was it that decided the video had anything to do with Benghazi? etc. 2. Just about Benghazi - it was a spontaneous demonstration It was caused by the video. Bin Laden is dead and al Qaeda is on the run. "make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to.” et al 3. I am not assuming anything unlike you.
