The conservatives would have to be absolute idiots not to counter their view of the press as liberal with an opposing view. Maybe you just don't consider it a conservative bias because it fits with your view of the world. That is without question a pretty myoptic view the press in general. BTW all trips to Scottland to play golf and other payola were to REPS. Further he was a member of Bush's Pioneer Club.

Though apparently some didn't catch the fine distinction, Abramoff represented clients that, under his advice, gave donations to both republican and democratic candidates. That doesn't constitute a lie... it's at worst a minor mistatement or error in semantics. Abramoff did in fact make some direct contributions to some republicans, but that's not what he's in trouble for, for those who missed that point.
