They are back at it. They claim it is for peaceful purposes (energy).
If I were in Isreal it would cross my mind that Iran may not be playing it straight.
Now here are some coincidences: W calls in all living former secs of state (some could be considered political enemies). Sharon has a stroke. Iran restarts their nuke program (they may have the bomb already or in a few months).
Not much we can do about it since we are spread thin in Iraq.
Armchair presidents what do you do?

The Saudi's as we know who are sunnis are concerned with Iran as we know are Shia with Iran having nukes. I think that is why there has been so much press about it. Saudi's own alot of shares in Time-Warner and NewsCorp so they pretty much could say what goes on the air and what doesn't with a phonecall. I think they would like to see Israel take it out but meanwhile they will stay in the shadows for they really are scared of Iran's power and what Iran has said about them in the past.

Now what is also a concern is that North Korea has sold Iran missles that could be load with a nuke that could reach Israel, Saudi land, and I believe parts of southern europe. Need to refer to JANES for that.
and by the way North Korea got the missle technology from China which in turn got if from the Clinton Administration when he allowed our space technology to be sold, at dirt cheap prices, to China.

Iran has received a lot of help from Russia, France, and Germany in their efforts to build serious weapons and underground facilities that conceal and protect these weapons. Of course, France is behaving as anticipated. Germany appears to be overly concerned about Euros. But, what is God's name are the Russians thinking? How long will it be before Iranian Muslims supply the Czechnyans with fancy weapons?

I think the USA should simply sit back, grab a domestic beer, and watch the Europeans attempt to dig themselves out of this one. Kiss

Think about it quickdog, the west has been giving trillions of dollars for oil and selling nuke technology to people who shave their heads then pray for our deaths and then throw small rocks at a big rock as the most serious of all of their religious rites.

I think I need to grab a beer as well for it is all insane.

I'm not going to play politics on this one (the Clinton reference was pretty thin), but this could be very real. They may HAVE an untested bomb ready to roll. As pres would you let them take out Israel (I am not referring to a missle that could be shot down, I am referring to a pickup truck nuke driven in, or 3 or 4 all at once so that at least 1 gets through) while you drink that domestic beer?

The last thing you want is Israel getting involved:

    1. Israel should not be the USA's mercenary for hire.
    2. The whole Middle East would explode if Israel were to get involved
    3. Israel might well be taken out by WMD's of the chemical variety.
    4. The USA and the rest of the world should manage this, not the Israelis.

Think back to when the USA and many other world nations invaded Iraq and Kuwait in 1991, the first thing the Iraqis did was lob conventional weapons off at Israel, one for scare factor and two to goad the Israelis into the conflict and divide Arabic world opinion and the coalition allied against Iraq. It took incredible arm twisting on the part of the USA, and incredible patience on the part of the Israeli authorities for Israel not to then duly defend itself. Frankly and morally at that point were it not for the fact that the overall conflict would have been put into jeapardy, Israel should have then taken out Iraq, like they did with Iraq's nuclear reactor being constructed by the Russians and French in 1981.

We should let Israel take out Iran. What is the mulsim world going to do? Hate Israel more?? They already hate Israel and want it destoyed, and since Israel is in the bullseye of this mad man, let's sit back and unleash this dog.

Hopefully, Israel will kill as many of these people as possible so WE wouldn't have to deal with them. After all, their aim is to see Islam as the world's ONLY religion!! Actually, Israel would be doing us infidels a favor!

Iran may have deployed the Russian Tor M1 anti-aircraft missle, the most advanced in the world and the only air defense that MIGHT be capable of detecting and stopping flights of advanced Western military strike fighters. Iraq didn't have any of these. I guess we might see it tested in battle and find out for sure.

Danr just about all of my refrences are 100% on the mark. My brief remark with tongue in cheek about the Kennedys might have been a little off with one of the rapes but that clan is always involved with female deaths and rapes that it is amazing that they are deemed to be "Liberal Minded".

As for Clinton, even the leftwing new york times briefly covered one of his scandals before burying the story: Look it up yourself but here is a taste of the treason:

FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES, APR. 4, 1998

Companies Are Investigated For Aid to China on Rockets

(BY JEFF GERTH WITH RAYMOND BONNER)
"A Federal grand jury is investigating whether two American companies illegally gave China space expertise that significantly advanced Beijing's ballistic missile program, according to Administration officials.

But the officials said the criminal inquiry was dealt a serious blow two months ago when President Clinton quietly approved the export to China of similar technology by one of the companies under investigation.

The decision was opposed by Justice Department officials, who argued that it would be much more difficult to prosecute the companies if the Government gave its blessing to the deal, the officials said."

If you think that our nation is in serious trouble with foreign nations buying our leaders in the Republician Party what makes you think that it is not happening in the Democrat Party.

How do you think of Israel? As a lone mercenary? They are a country with a government that looks out, first of all, for the state of Israel. The arabs have progressed in their tactics, and have learned from their mistakes (they have had plenty to study). If one biological or nuclear warhead exploded in Israel, that would, without a doubt, mean the end of Israel. As much as I would like to see those Muslims, and especially the country of Iran get nuked, this would start WWIII. We have no idea how many terrorist groups or countries, supposedly nine, have nukes, and we have little idea how many nukes each of these countries have. How do we know Iran hasn't been processing materials and making nukes for months? Now that Iran has restarted their program, what will the U.N do? Threaten them with "economic sanctions?" They must be shaking in their radiation suits. Convential weaponry is definetly more safe and realistic an option for Israel in the next major war, but if the ONLY option was nuclear weaponry, I wouldn't be shedding too many tears for the Muslims.

So far, Israel is the only nation on Earth that has been threatened with annihilation by Iran or anyone else. Secondly, Israeli leaders are likely to believe these bellicose threats because other nations have tried to eliminate Jews in the past. The Jews have a stark history to draw upon, and they fully understand systematic hatred.

Europe, Asia, and the Middle East better take this Iranian situation seriously because Israel can not afford to turn the other cheek. Isolationism for any major nation would be a bit foolish at this point. If everyone ignores this situation, it WILL blow up, one way or another.

The USA should not, and I am certain will not, abandon Israel. The Muslim nations of the Middle East better do some serious soul-searching and fast talking. There aint enough dark-eyed virgins to go around if this gets out of hand.:(

If a terrorist wasn't the president of Iran, I would be laughing at that. IF, sadly, there is a new Israeli prime minister, he/she better be smart enough to beat the *(Y^(*&^)(^^ out of the Muslims before they acquire nuclear capabilities.

I did not want to get bogged down in politics on this one but to blame the Iranian bomb on Bubba is a reach.

As far as nuclear proliferation goes, the genie is out of the bottle and nobody is putting him back. The knowledge of how to make the weapon is already known, and the US already demonstrated that it can be done with 1940's technology. So at this point it's pretty useless to try to blame anything on one political party or the other. What do people think; that only American scientists and engineers are intelligent enough to construct a nuclear weapon? You would think Americans would pull together on this thing for our mutual protection instead of trying to score political points for a favorite political hack. If America is badly hurt by this, it will be because we were petty and stupid, not because we couldn't prevent it.

Israel has been the recipient of threats from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, not only nations but also organisations which effectively control nations, so then you could also lump in the Saudis.

Danr I did not say that Clinton gave Iran the bomb. He and Carter did, however, give the technology to North Korea. What I am talking about was his allowing Loral to sell the space technology as well as allowing other defense department research and development corporations to sell their technology to China. Before that, China had no real space program and their missles were not accurate. Now they can hit LA. China in turn gave this technology to North Korea, which in turn sold the technology to Iran. It is one thing to have a short range missle, it is another thing to have a medium or long range missle and it is an entire different class to have a missle that could hit the target and not fall into the ocean. Why would China do this, because they made the money and North Korea was the middle man for political reasons. China does sell to Iran directly as well but it depends upon the product and the political climate on what they sell.

It amazes me how little is known to the general american public but then again look at our media.
