Well, I don't know how many of you are Harry Potter fans, but I thought that since no one else started up a thread about it, I would. If you haven't yet read it (I got it 17 hours ago, and finished it in 10 hours, with a 7 hour break), I won't ruin it for you, except to say that someone important does die in the book, and things get a lot darker. Personally, I couldn't put it down (figuratively speaking), because it was that good. You guys have no idea how hard it is to not just spit out the biggest spoiler of the entire book right here - something so unexpected, so utterly unthinkable, that I had to reread it a few times for it to sink in. Enjoy it, everybody, for it is a marvel of literature! ~AJ
I am not going to start on how evil these books are in the spirtitual world. But I will say this I see the author in the same light as a murderer. Just my $0.03
A book is a book, it can't hurt you. No more than reading the Qur'an (sp?) if you are Christian can hurt you. It is merely a form of entertainment, as most of today's movies and literature are. I find that most people who decide upon the "evilness" of such things are normally ignorant of them. No offense meant, but this is MY $0.03 cents worth. ~AJ
