Climatology is a small field funded by government organizations. Those who disagree openly, receive little funding but they do still exist. There is question about the accuracy of theses numbers, numerous CO2 results were scrapped from 1900 to 1940 on the basis that something was wrong with them. In one report, every test scrapped showed higher historic levels than are comfortable for Global Warming scientists……………….but……………lets say if the amount of CO2 in atmosphere is 387 ppm that’s 0.0387% of our breathable atmosphere, and a hundred years ago it was 270 ppm that would be an increase of 0.0118%. Wow what staggering increases.

 

And here is the temperature chart that was once released by the IPCC. Funny how it changed shortly thereafter.

 

That is pretty funny. But, I still like the statement. When it was 90 plus here for a while this summer and we were lacking rain, I didn't say 'Yep, there ya have it. Global Warming'. And I am not saying 'Where is Global Warming this last couple of weeks either.

 

Global Warming is a bunch of hot air.

 

Please post this "one report" so I can see the authors, the funding source, and the methodology.

 

Check the tempeture charts for Mars....and then tell me how many factories and SUV's are on Mars.

 

It's in these somewhere but you will have to open your eyes! The authors were the IPCC when they didn't have an agenda. The funding source is you and me.

The IPCC is the one discredited group out of the thousands of researchers that the Right points to in an effort to paint all research on the subject of global warming as fraudulent. Please find a valid source. It’s not that I am invalidating your source, it is that everyone so far has invalidated them and the Right continues to use them as the reason they believe that global warming science is a hoax but you can’t discredit the thousands of reputable scientific studies that support global warming science. Instead you focus on the ONE case where science actually was junk and then try to cast doubt on all the other research. If you had any knowledge of science, you’d know that during the process you can actually get contradictory results but the preponderance of evidence usually leans one way or the other. The IPCC contributed nothing in either direction to the question of global warming. The weight of the evidence has leaned quite heavily in favor of the idea that we are adding to global warming through the burning of fossil fuels over the last 150 years. Deal with it.

 

The UN IPCC was formed before global warming was identified for the purpose of discovering if man made climate change was true.. The IPCC would cease to exist if questions were answered in the negative i.e no global warming, no damage from global warming. Governments always need more money and power so it should be no surprise that the IPCC concluded, global warming is man made, there will be huge planet crushing disaster and it is very expensive to fix.
The IPCC is a political body which employs scientist to make a report. The politicians get final say on what goes into the report. Scientists who actually believe in global warming regularly warn the IPCC that their conclusions are the most extreme of the possibilities and to tone down their language. These scientists are regularly dismissed by the politicians.The IPCC has subsidiary partners as part of the UN who direct fund according to IPCC recommendations. This funding is administered through an unbelievably complex network of organizations across the world. The goal. — Prove global warming is true or cease to have jobs.

 

Then we both agree that the IPCC has nothing to add to the science. The rest of the scientific community agrees that the warming of the earth is caused by man.

 

1 degree? Things better heat up fast or Al Gore is going to look foolish.

I find the less I tell people here about my life, the less they can erroneously try to generalize and stereotype me into one of their preconceived ideas of the world. You know; The all academia bad, all business good crowd. Besides, people can say anything they want here and certainly have. Why believe me or anyone else when they tell you details of their lives. Let’s just not go there.
They will try to goad you into revealing information so they can use it against you but the truth is that no one here knows anything of any consequence about anyone else anyway so they are happy to just make stuff up. Even once you have denied their preconceptions point blankly, they still choose to believe their own lies. Why feed their ignorance?

 

You can always search the forum & see some of the things dr moen has said about himself, such as how he is the most educated member here.
Or give it a little time & you'll see the high regard dr moen has for himself.

 

I'll take that as no research experience.
