I'm just curious as to who you guys believe owns the war/wars in which we are currently engaged- Bush or BO- and why?

Gee...there is not a black (oops...sorry...used a "R" word) and white answer as events took place well before Bush and B.O. were even born that has resulted in this war(s).

Keep in mind that the our response to what is happening in these muslim areas of the world are a result of actions of muslims and those that follow true islam. Shoot...even our third president Thomas Jefferson had to deal with muslim terrorists when he dispatched our newly formed marines "to the shores of Tripoli".

Even Thomas Jefferson knew that force was required after he read the koran...which was given to him by the Libyan diplomat in England when Jefferson asked him, "What's your beef with our new country?" Afterwards, the muslim diplomat explained that it is all in the koran which Jefferson asked for and read. It didn't take Jefferson long to realize that these (muslims) are whacked!

So...who owns this war are all infidels and non-believers of islam. After all...according to the word "islam" itself, it means that one will find peace IF (and this is a huge IF) one submits and surrenders to their way of life and sharia law of the land.

Otherwise...all bets are off and hence the madness continues.

Well it was initialy a joint Bush/Blair shindig but the times they are a changing and now its a Obama/Brown hoedown :D
OK lets get a bit more seriouse it is our war/s after all we pay for them with our taxes even though we were not consulted about it LOL
We as communities are also burden with the fall out from casualties/fatalities that the wars cause ie the traumas not just to service personel but also to there families. The same of course can be said about the peoples of all the nations involved, it is us not the politicos who bear the costs.

Well, since the current President is the current President. And since the current President is continuing or expanding the wars. And since the ex-President is the ex-President. And since the ex-President is off playing ranch hand somewhere and not deciding whether to continue the wars or end them....

I would, of course, say the ex-President owns them.

Reaching into the "wayback machine" on this one.

Someone here once argued that this was "our" war before any election that put President Obama into office. I replied it wasn't mine. Plain and simple. I didn't "vote" for it after all and would like to see my tax dollars go to more productive things or (dare I say it?) remain in my pocket.

Instead it continues. Think about this folks. How much do we really even hear about these days on ANY media? We hear about casualties for the most part and I think this applies to ANY media one listens to.
There are wars going on. People are dying and it's been going on for years now.

The taxpayers own this war and we always have. What are we gaining from it? Nothing.

It was "started" by one administration and carries on to another.

Do I feel these wars were started on a bunch of sketchy "facts"? No doubt about it. On this I will blame Bush and his "band o scum".

Is it Obama's problem now? Duhhhh!

I'd love to see us pull out and let them kill one another as they have for so long but that's too simple isn't it?

It's turning into another Korea. We'll be ther forever unless they throw us out.

Who owns South Korea? The U.S. taxpayer.

I dont think it is Thomas Jefferson's war, but the ownership most likely goes to Bush. Vietnam was generally called Johnson's war, leaving Nixon to deal with it. And WWII surely went to FDR and not Truman. Although he was the victor.

I think I just saw four horsemen go down the street - I just agreed with Moen! Whether or not you agree with Obama's policies, or preferred Bush's, or think there's a third way, we are all Americans. Right or wrong, this war belongs to all of us. Therefore, so does how we fight it.

Honestly, it drives me nuts when people say "he" (whichever President you're talking about) "isn't my President." Yes, he is. You may not like him, but he's still your President. Vote against him if you wish, but until the next election, he's your President. Constitution says so.

Did one of those horsemen look like Dick Cheney? :D

Presidents come and presidents go along with their political parties. What remains is the messes they leave behind and we as the American people get the honor of being associated with their legacies.

Shoot...I was ready to start singing, "We didn't start the fire" from Billy Joel but history has proven itself..."evil wins when good does nothing".
