President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize

You guy's read this LOL I have to ask the question what exactly did he do to win it LOL Now he must have done something cus we allready know that the world hates him n America as you did not get the Olympics

But what has he got it for!! been a African American President while yes it is a 1st has not brought peace and stability to anywere yet as far as I am aware?
Please tell me what actions he has taken that warrent the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize??

Nobel lost all credibility after giving the terrorist Arafat the same prize....it means zero anymore.

 

Means 0 to you but to the world at large it is in fact a really big deal.

 

Not like the announcement surprised anyone. I am sure that gasp of shock from the crowd didn't mean anything. lol

I really don't care about the Peace Prize one way or the other - he won it...great...maybe it will help us someway (probably not but...)/ But the only reason I could come up with was also because he is not George Bush...although in a lot of ways he really still is.

Speaking of which, I think Pakistan asked if he won it for killing their innocent civilians (or something like that). I don't know how many were innocent but I thought that was an interesting take about a Peace Prize winner.

 

Well, he ended the war in Iraq, ended the war in Afghanistan and also stopped bombing Pakistan. In addition, there are no more prisoners being held in Gitmo at all thanks to the President. He also made sure that Iran and North Korea are no longer nuclear threats.

Oh, and he isn't George Bush. lol

it seems like the right wing are once again expressing anti-Americanism. The flippin' president won the Nobel Peace Prize, you should be proud for you country.

Hey, the POTUS won the Nobel, thats great. I think the only differance is that a conservative mindset has a way of ignoring the cult of personality.

For a while this medal meant accomplishment, not goals.

I see nothing to warrant the prize, but I also will not poo-poo it. He won it fair and square. My only point is this,

Now go out and earn it. Get something done. Your speeches are good, your charisma great....but what have you done? I would be very congradulatory if Bill Clinton had won it......I could see that as deserving

I was going to post something similar. I am not sure how true it s across the board but it seems the case here. Love of President Obama equates to Love of Country and vice versa. Dislike of President Obama = dislike of country.

I wonder if that is how dictators are made?

 

What's he going to do with the $1.4 million cash award that comes with the prize? Pay back the taxpayers for his failed jaunt to campaign for the 2016 Olympics?
