I think I am going to pass. I got the seasonal flu vaccine as I have for years (hospital employee) but I am thinking about not getting the H1N1 shot.

    Nope,

I have NEVER gotten a flu shot and can't remember the last time I was really sick with any flu.

If I lived in an area where I was constantly in close contact with people (which I am basically) or had to take public transportation, for example, I would consider flu shots. As it is I don't and I don't make a habit of hugging total strangers that are coughing and wheezing.

Someday this may catch up with me though.

Under zero circumstances will I take that vaccine. I have a problem, my daughter is in the military and due for mandatory shots in the near future. I will not comment further.

I had the anthrax series and haven;t yet grown a second head or a third arm. I am not going to tempt fate with the H1N1 vaccine. ;)

This seems to be turning into a thing. I have heard several media reports about how irresponsible we are not to get the shot. There must be a lot of people not getting this shot.

It is being made mandatory in some places of work. A condition of employment. (healthcare for one, i believe).

I heard somewhere that there are lawsuits about that already.

Yep, I think so. It could be a dangerous economy to be making a workplace stand on it, though. And I am not so sure if they couldn't justify it in the healthcare industry.

Too bad we can't trust the information fed to us to make an informed decision..

Sounds like a bad idea. I don't think there has been enough time to prove that it is effective and is it really smart to inject yourself with a virus you are trying to protect yourself from?

Serving in the military was great but there are things I don't miss. Mandatory injections are one of them.

Well the cure for smallpox was to inject a small dose of cow pox! snake venom is used as a antidote to snake bites so it realy is not that strange

...and the government still can't get the vaccine out to those who want it even though Obama has had several months lead time.
And we want government controlling ALL healthcare services why?
