    LOL
Didn't have to click the link, I know where your going. It has been on the radio all day. It does not change my opinion of the military, it just reinforces my opinion of freaky perverts:D
    Yeah, a disgrace indeed.

I didn't read the post either but just like the thread on police officers earlier, there are going to be some bad eggs in any organization...the bigger the organization, the more problems.

I was a civilian minister before I joined the Navy as a Chaplain (and I now work with Marines). You would be stunned by the things people have told me they've done (and by who's done it), either in the military or outside. It's not the military that's sick in the head, it's people generally.

    Never !

Since the beginning of recorded history there has been a war somewhere going on. Peace is an illusion.
Politicians start wars, the Military prosecutes said war.
There are contrary thoughts to war, and all would like to live in peace, but it just never happens that way.
We now have terrorism, back during the crusades they had to go to the holy land and fight for 300 years over Jeruselm. The city was really worth nothing for some, yet everything for others.
Now they play with more dangerous toys. The stakes are high and the end will prove nothing. It seems that some wish to be in charge of evey aspect of a mans life.
When it was called peace you just did not know where the war was, or what it was called.

But it doesn't have to be us. If only we had a less blood thirsty President...

    War ?

If you have been there, and been in harms way you do not fight for your country. That is B/S .
You fight for the guy who has your back and he does the same. I can not imagine fighting on an island in the Pacific during WW11 for 2-3 months of vicious combat. People are use to seeing war but no one ever get use to being in war.
National Security is a bit overused but a new acronym has yet to replace it. It always has something to do with money , power , or religion.
One can never forget the inquisitors , the knights in the crusades, Hitler, Stalin, Mao and all the tribes who raveged the known world. Idle hands are the Devils workshop.

I did see some war protesters the other day, though...and they did have anti-Obama war signs up. I was actually surprised. I figured they would all still say Bush. ;)

I take it the new anti war posters finally came in... maybe I'll have to pick one up as a collectible before Obama solves the problems of War right after he solves health care, porn on the internet, air plane crashes, and also he "invents the new version of the "internet" which is just built on the internet that Al Gore invented and also fixes the whole Global Warming thing Al gore invented to make $100 million dollars :D

Al Gore did not invent the internet. He aggreed to fund the program that did. I admit to learning that from DanR, I did not know that.

Unfortunately this abuse has not been properly addressed by he Navy. It appears that this abuse is being de facto sanctioned by the military. In other words they are cool with really freaky perverted abuse of soldiers in the Navy.

That is way off topic, but in fact Gore turned the ARPAnat into the internet (and thereby invented the internet).

In this case it is the military. The Navy have let the abusers walk on this (they promoted the guy who was leading up the abuse).

And you're saying hazing doesn't happen in the civilian world? Ever been on a college campus during pledge season? Ever follow news reports from an NFL training camp, and what the veterans do to the rookies? Ever watch "Deadliest Catch" and see what the experienced folks do to the "greenhorns?" Sickos are sickos, in uniform or out of it.

And as someone in the military (and the Navy, in fact), I can say without question that hazing IS being addressed. I've actually seen people not only kicked out for it, but criminally charged.
