This is where we want to go?

wow, they have not only cut off pain pills and injections due to rationing, but this should scare everybody:

I guess is you live in Canada or the UK, when you get the sniffels, call your Dr, when you get Cancer, call your travel agent to get your tickets to USA to get some help in time.

Well the Hospital obviously has a sence of humour

Today a spokeswoman for the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust said: 'We are disappointed that Ms Blake was not happy with the advice and care she received and will of course investigate any complaint.
'We are pleased that both Ms Blake and her daughter are well and healthy.'

Nope not where we want to go but what's the answer? We're not that far from it anyway are we?

If I get the sniffles I stay home if I have to. If I develop cancer I'll die.

No, we are not even near that. You get sniffels you get an antibiotic and a shot at the ER. You get cancer? You go to the ER, we are required by law to treat you with the best possible care.

We have the best healthcare system on the planet. Does it cost too much ? Yep. Can it be improved ? Yep.

Do we need to give up everything this country stands for to gain improvement? Nope.

I'd much rather have my wife and Rlm get the needed treatment on the spot, needed and immeadiate attention with the best possible doctors ( They are both still alive, thank you ) thanks to our " broken " insurance system.

    Question.
Does your car insurance cover oil changes? ( routine maintainance / flu shot )
Does your car insurance cover brake jobs? ( routine maintainance / wellness checkup )
Does your car insurance cover new wiper blades ? ( routine maintainance / teeth cleaning at dentist )

Another way to save. Pay as you go for routine stuff. Get a danger policy, LIKE A CAR ACCIDENT for the biggies, broken arms, surgery etc etc.

Could you imagine how much your auto insurance would be if it had to cover oil changes and wiper blades thru all the red tape that would go along with it?

BACK to subject. Socialized medicine is a failure everywhere it is implemented. I will continue to post examples.

I have posted many answers and thoughts

Catostrophic insurance options, tort reform, border enforcement to name a few.

    What are your answers?

" We just need to change ? " See where that got ya? That was awesome.

While your thinking about it, remember, this is not about insurance or heatlh care, it is about power and control. Healthcare is the vehicle the powergrab is riding in.

That's probably the most realistic outlook on healthcare I've seen in a while. It makes a lot of sense.

Pretty thin Jack. If that is the best that the right can come up with I'd say the Dems have won this.

LOL, The dems have won nothing ( on health care that is ). They are desperate beyond belief.

60 votes in the senate and a huge majority in the house, yet they blame the repos for not passing this bill so fast. They may have to go nuclear option this even with both majoritys.

They sure have not won over the American people either, have you seen recent polls?

Many of the dems know the plans suck & they risk not being re-elected, this is the reason they haven't flexed their muscle & voted it into law.

    My suggestion?
Sever every single tie between your health insurance & employment. When all the people begin to shop around for their own coverage competition in the market kicks in & the price (and the product) will vastly improve.

How is it that BO can blame the republicans for this " conspiracy ' stopping the bill? He can pass this bill without a single repo vote. Zero, Nada. It is quite funny to see Repos being blamed for a Dem failure.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/20/obama-gop-conspiracy-out-kill-health-reform/

What we are seeing folks is the Dem party imploding, at civil war with itself. I do NOT mean the voters, I mean the power brokers. Pelosi has said she will NOT pass a bill that does NOT include a public option. The Whitehouse has flipped flopped on this issue here recently, and Harry cannot pass a bill WITH a public option.

Everytime BO holds a meeting or speaks out about it, his polls drop even more. The man has absolutly destroyed all credibility, he is a proven and blatant liar.

The lessons of the Hillary care was not learned by the hardcore left, we may see a repeat in the house and senate. Kepp holding them staged townhalls BO, you are so helping the conservative cause.

    Here is an example

    http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/obama_zogby_poll_health/2009/08/20/250566.html

MSNBC is so desperate, they are editing videos to advance the "racist" lie. Remember, the word racist is the liberal hail mary pass. Desperate when there is no other option left.

    proof

    http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=dbd_1250792174

They edited out the face and hands of the person with the AR-15 here in AZ, and stated live on air it was a white person. So much for credibility. Thats pure desperation and derangement folks, the train is off the tracks, the wheel is off the cart.

    Steve
I am going to stop doing the legwork here explaining the failures of single payer health care. Those who want it, they want it. Those who oppose it, they oppose it.

No minds will be changed. Facts be damned. It sucks.

Oh I quite agree you have to have choice and the two components can work together you just need to work out the how bit.

So medicare is single payer. And VA care is socialized medicine. Youre right lets get rid of those.

Excellent idea. Turn it over to private sector companies and watch the care improve. Both are broke and failing, which reinforces my point. Keep government out of the heath care industry. Everything they do fails.

Ok. But then who pays for it?

  20. arizonaJack

    arizonaJack Well-Known Member

    The government of course.
Under the governments leadership ( both partys ) medicare is 9X cost over original projections, and the VA care is a mess.

Let the USA pay the private industries what they are paying now. It can be done better and cheaper. Kinda like UPS/Fedex/USPS
    :D
