There is no way that this guy was in as bad a shape as they say. Look at this this was days before he died. This guy is in top shape. http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/02/jackson.wrap/index.html
Why not Craig? Enquiring minds want to know. The house he grew up in is less than 10 miles from my house so it's big here and guess what? I don't care. Unfortunately just as Elvis was the King Michael will be the King of Pop. People will buy the crap forever. Not that either of these guys didn't change the way music is looked at. I work with an Elvis fanatic but to me the bottom line is he's still dead. Just like Michael Of course you quoate Jerry Garcia in your signature. He was nothing but a druggie that didn't influence music at all. Elvis and Michael were clean, upstanding citizens. Sorry bud. Had to make that ridiculous comment.
Ok my last post was an hour ago and I quickly lost a GSA 1883 CC dollar. No biggie. What I see in this debacle is a very talented, but very misguided individual. Any american denying the talent that this man was born with is just plain koo-koo. The guy had more talent on one hand than all of us combined. The media used him as a headline grabber. A lead story at times, he DID get the headlines. I also have reservations as to his final days, weeks, and months. Like the video shows, he seemed to be " not on his deathbed" to me. Hype. Dont believe it. I do not for one minute believe anything on the net at this poiint. Neither should any of you. This is not a political arguement, just a discussion of American pop culture, and MJ was the king of that. As big as Elvis and the Beatles. I suspect there will forever be conspiracy theorys and those far out kooks. And Craig, I dasapprove of your last post. I will let you know when you have my approval. For now, go in the corner with the pointy hat and be quiet and let the adults talk this out. ( inside jioke on another thread if you dont get it )
He wasnt sickly. He was a junkie. Thats like saying Elvis had a thyroid problem. A $100,000 bill from a pharmacy is a bit odd. And theres alot of things you're able to do on downs. Dancing is pretty easy when you are very relaxed.
Personally, I think Farrah Fawcett got hosed. She deserved some press time. So too Ed McMahon. How many of you knew he retired from the Marines in 1966 as a Colonel?
Back then. There were times when every one had been through the draft or had enlisted in the Military. Every family had lost a loved one or had a gallant warrior in their family. Not all were in the news cycle like today. In our extended family between WW11, Korea & Vietnam we lost about 40% of our male relatives . This was all under Command of the Pacific, or other names that were used to identify this organization of the Military. I have most of the awarded medals that were awarded for the family. I am the last to serve, the last of the name line and will pass on to what ever awaits us. Some were lost in obscure places. Others were addicted to drugs supplied to ground pounders during long periods of lack of sleep or marching to the rear. My how we pay for what we have. Hard to believe some will give up so quickly and take what will be the hard way out. Pep
