N Korea Test fire 2 Short range missiles

Well to top off the nuclear test it just conducted now they have test fired 2 short range missiles and are expected to do a few more shortly. What should the world do about it?

It really comes down to what China is going to do about it which is probably very little. The world doesn't have much say. And probably most of the world doesn't care and has no need to.

 

Pretty much my view. I don't lose sleep over N. Korea. Hey, China ain't doing so bad and they never fired a shot so they'd let N. Korea screw that up?

Kim Jung Il is off his rocker and they know that but I sincerely doubt they'll let a flea like him screw it up for them. If it gets too serious they'll slap him like a mosquito.

 

A tempest in a teacup. But then again, it wouldnt bother me if we FPLed that little pain in the neck country.

 

Well they are now threataning war with the South if they dare to stop and search ships entering N Korean waters

Today, tomorrow, probably soon .
This goes back a long ways and resolution never came.
China likes the pressure N/K puts on the U.S. . They also do not want the influx of N/Koreas population if they shut off the items, they give to keep this nuclear parts depot running. They can not have it both ways, vast influx of homeless or continued nuclear proliferation.
The current administration is in a corner. South Korea is in the sights of hundreds of 155MM artillary pieces that have a 20+ mile range .Being a bit over half that distance away they could level South Koreas city of Seoul in and hour or less.
It has reached a point where we do it now, or wait until they hit the U.S. and anything else in range.
Park a nuclear sub off the coast of S/K and give them nuclear power to take down the north. Get China to agree to shut down fuel, electricity, and food. Russia will keep out of it if they are told .
Israel will probably hit Iran in concert.
Is this probable, yes. Will it work, nothing planned in war ever works correctly as planned. Is this wrong sure, is it right sure. One thing is, something will happen, in the very near future that will change an already difficult scenario into more then a boots on the ground conflict.
There is nothing a serviceman hates more than war.
I hope we have some of the missle defence system working.
You walk you dog, see your children and family and all that you consider in life that is good. Then a group of people decide that they not only want nuclear, they want to use it on us. Fifty years of talking has brought us to this.
This is my opinion only, I hope, and pray that I am way wrong !
