Piggy Sniffles

So what is your take on this outbreak of the Piggy Sniffles guy's? Should they perhaps have quarenteened Mexico to try to stop the spread? Is it man made or natural

 

Hopefully it will go as the bird flu did a few years back but I can't say I'm not watching the reports on it.
Cuba cancelled all flights to and from Mexico today fo the next 48 hours.

I"ve never had any desire to travel to Mexico and certainly wouldn't now.

I do think careful monitoring and reporting are key. Stop it where it "lands" as it were.

Time will tell.

 

I really don't know. I am keeping up on reports too but, with the media and something like this, you never know how much is real as far as a threat and how much is just generating sensational news to fill the cycle.

 

Too close for comfort. a college student was diagnosed with the swine flu just 12 miles from me.

 

We have two hospitalised over here plus a number of infected who are not hospitalised. I have just heard that a young child has died from it in Texas My deepest sympathies go out to all who are affected by this.

 

This is a day old but kind of goes in line with my thinking so far.

The clip is a worst case scenario of course but I'd hate to see a lot of people die from this.

Piggies don;t go to the doctor. They get house calls. lol

Personally, unless I wake up with a snout and a curly tail, the last place I want to go is a hospital. If you don't have it going in, your odds of having it going out have probably increased dramatically.

 

OK all joking aside that is a bad turn of events but with all the hype that has been put out by the media (Doomsday scinerios n everything) it was to be expected

 

Yeah, you have the media whipping everything up into hysteria and the VP telling everyone not to travel in any confined spaces and all the hysteria on the internet. Panic in the ER is not too surprising.

Thank God we have Pres Bush's planning well in place.
