Day one he did remove the obstacles to inflation. He released constraints on energy production and eliminated mountains of regulation (thank heavens). Your comment sounds dangerously like a Jake Tapper comment. An ocean liner doesn’t turn on a dime. You and Jake both know that. Releasing constraints on energy will likely take six months before results are seen at our level and energy costs are the number one driver of inflated costs. I ship every day and it’s been years since I paid a shipping bill that didn’t include a hefty fuel surcharge. If my little company sees that every day imagine what a grocery store chain looks at. We are fully satisfied with the direction things are moving.

Oh no, you were not. Trump said, “Starting on Day 1, we will end inflation and make America affordable again,”

Was inflation ended? Is it trending in the right direction at least?

    Not quite.

The actual quote was: “Starting on Day 1, we will end inflation and make America affordable again,” he said at a campaign event in August.

And so, he started on Day 1 to end inflation.

Care to detail those? I don't believe he's actually done either. Not in meaningful ways at least

We'll just have to wait and see then... care to guess when we should start to see these effects?

Executive orders are not laws, and unless carefully crafted, they're hardly even action. In Trump's case, they're more like virtue signaling blog posts. Where's the deliverables?

@GeneWright , why aren't the houses rebuilt in the Pacific Palisades yet? Democratic leadership in California had a few weeks of their state burning up, but it's been weeks since that happenend, I can't believe there's not new framework up already!

Joe Biden and his administration let this whole country burn for FOUR YEARS. As Randy mentions above, it will take time to clean up the mess and start to rebuild. Much the same for those poor folks in California.

Where were all the questions the previous four years? Trump could eat beans and fart daisies and would be crucified for it. Where are we? 28-29 days into his administration and we have seen more action on issues that affect most Americans than we saw the last four years.

I was highly critical of Biden too. Not blindly hateful of him, but don't pretend I was in the tank for him.

The difference is, often to the chagrin of people here, I backed things up with data and related action.

I admit it's too early into Trump's term to realistically see what progress may or may not make, but hand in hand with that I don't think it's the time to take victory laps.

Well, I'm not one to guess. But, it WILL take time to correct all the failures of the Biden administration. Would you hazard a guess as to when those failures might be corrected?

    Re-correction to Dictionary:

The word "Liberty" is....again....properly re-defined as:

    FT. BRAGG.

Thank you, PFC Roland Bragg, for inspiring the Executive Branch of our Federal Republic to find a solution to Cancel silliness and preserve History.

...(and a minor shout-out to James Caan as SSgt.Eddie Dohun 502nd Parachute... also a real person...for the portrayal similarity of story to PFC Bragg, both examples of that which Ft. Bragg produces for over 100 years, with the Mission of first and foremost preserving LIBERTY).

Both Bragg and Dohun are memorialized @ FT. Bragg....anybody want to display their personal DEI and attempt to remove same from Ft. Bragg? Anybody?

GW (portraying the Clown)? Want to give it a try?

It has been a satisfying February, for me.

A silly request, though, of the members:

Could you PLEASE not use the phrase "Democratic Party"?

It is neither democratic or recognizable as any type of Party, except as an invitation for Clowns to gather.

    WELCOME HOME CHARLEY!!!!

You will appreciate this... I never served at Fort Lib...errr... Fort Bragg but my drill sergeant wore the 82nd Airborne patch. He had been hit by a mortar in Vietnam that tore up his vocal cord and he had a tube that went from his throat up to his ear so he could hear himself.... When the man would get in my face and yell all I could hear was feedback from the tube going to his ear. Toughest human being I ever met.... I sure wish I could find him and thank him for turning me into a man.

You did so, by telling his story here. I do not have any doubt he was "tough".
He had to be....his assignment was part of 5thGp. and 1st Brigade Combat Team, and 3rd. Brigade, and had to survive Phu Bai, Mekong, Chu Lai and Hump.

That is the only testament needed, of his DI qualification.

Oh things are not getting better these 4 years in my opinion. Much much worse. So i expect month after month, quarter after quarter, year after year to see things get worse as we descend into authoritarianism.
