By a Canadian journalist/ really made me think she is bang on.....

She compared Putin to a cancerous tumor that has taken over Russia/ and is a danger to the World.
Her solution that the Western nations do what ever it takes to destroy Russia/ thereby also eliminating the Putin Regime/ ending with the total dismantling of the evil Russian Federation.
She compared the Ukraine to Germany vs USSR 41-45. In otherwords/ much smarter/ better trained/ technologically more advanced/ one difference/ in 2022-24 Ukraine has the West on their side. Russia this time stands alone/ remember they lost in Afghanistan. Putin still thinks that the USSR won the "Great Patriotic War" vs Germany on their own/ well no Stalin had USA/ British Empire/ many others splitting up German fronts. My guess this was his reason for invading Ukraine in Feb. 2022. Secret police heads are good at killing defenseless people/ not so good at doing same when they can shoot back. So with this say/ lets hope that US politicians can agree to do what ever it takes to make this happen. Putin is the enemy/ both Democrats and Republicans have to realize that.

I would suggest a more direct Analogy...

The separation @ the 38th Parallel of Korea. I won't blahblah about it, since a person can easily research the what where who why and the present affect of same.

Solve the 38th Parallel conundrum, and it will solve the Soviet Union, Red China, Sino-Soviet and Eastern Europe conundrums.

  4. I think RFK Jr. has a really interesting opinion on the situation, below are a couple of recent quotes taken from Santa Maria Times.

“Democratic and Republican administrations have pushed NATO to Russia’s borders, violated our own solemn promise in the early nineties when we pledged that if Russia made this terrible concession of moving 400,000 troops out of East Germany and allowing the unification of Germany under a possible NATO army. And we would commit that after that not move NATO one inch to the east,” Kennedy said.

“Instead, we have moved it — not one inch, but a thousand miles and 14 nations. We have surrounded Russia with missiles and military bases, something that we would never tolerate if the Russians did that to us.”

Now I don't know how legally binding or serious our "promise" was, but if we straight-up lied and expected to get away with it, that's an issue. I don't think war was the right solution, definitely skipped the possibility of any diplomatic solution. I abhor war and think Putin could have handled it better, perhaps if he had our leaders would have listened. I can't say though, politicians are all liars. Maybe our leaders would have laughed in his face, in which case we would be exactly where we are right now. It's also very possible that I'm not seeing the whole picture, I wasn't around for the Red Scare or fall of the Soviet Union so perhaps there is some lingering resentment there. I will say, I am not pro-Russia, but I am pro-diplomacy and pro-honesty. Perhaps I am too hopeful that anyone would have integrity in these times, though.

TRue. But NATO is a defensive alliance to protect European democratic nations from in 1949 Soviet aggression. Remember that Josef Stalin and his henchmen murdered 60M people/ including 16M Ukrainian in 1928-34. So after WW2 ended Stalin's Red Army took over Eastern European Countries and thus were under the Soviet yoke aka Warsaw Pact. In 1939 the Reds invaded the Baltics murdered thousands. Same year invaded Finland/ but were bloodied by Finnish resistance. The history of Russia from the days of Ivan IV "the Terrible" to Putin today/ well look at the map. The Duchy of Moscovy in 1534 was the size of New York State/ all that additional territory was taken by aggressive wars. terror/ greed. Putin for example if he feels you are a threat/ well he orders you arrested sent to a GULAG/ or poisoned. In the USA Biden cannot arrest his Republican opponent or ordered him/ her murdered. Putin even wants Alaska back. Hopefully the Ukrainians will keep hitting Russian industrial/ oil refineries/ military assets/ once you take the cash flow from Putins war machine/ it will crumble like in 1990 thanks too Reagan.:)
    Best president in 20th century.
