Democrats are destroying the ability to produce energy in this country! It is being done because the enemies of our country are being run by Marxists and the greens that are outside and within our government. This is being done on purpose. That's why you will not find any mention of this in the fake news democrat media. The State of Utah is fighting to prohibit power plants from being demolished after they are shut down. They want to keep the plants intact as a back up to the solar & wind power (when it fails) being pushed by our enemies! Only those who wish to destroy our country would be ding this to our country while China is building several brand new coal fired plants! Only a stupid, ignorant old fool would think that destroying the coal industry, oil industry, and everything associated with them was good for the planet, America, and American citizens. I'll wait for the ignorant fools that we post with to add their brainwashed nonsense.
There are some large solar farm projects under construction in my county. Based on average crop yields for the area the future annual lost agricultural production of these projects equals about (you chose the commodity upon which to measure) 1.8 million bushels of corn, 26,000 bales of cotton, 550,000 bushels of soybeans, or 1.6 million bushels of rice. Many more landowners are negotiating or sold solar farm options on large tracts of land.
We have practically shut down our ability to FEED THE WORLD. Now our enemies within are shutting down our ability TO FEED OURSELVES! Every bit of this is being done on purpose! The country is way past saving without such measures that are so extreme that they would never be done. And the ignorant fools walk around in a haze waiting to vote for our enemies within AGAIN! Unfortunately, it will not matter because as I posted, after the next election, the USA will be cooked! Bye, bye American Pie.
Here in my state, the democrat governor is responsible for shutting down our hydroelectric dams... and promoting a corridor that would use CANADIAN waterpower, giving our state no power, for the benefit of Massachusetts. They know exactly what they are doing. As usual, it's about the optics... "America runs on green energy" will only mean "we use dirty energy produced elsewhere"
Same here. Farmland is being bought up from local farms and being turned into solar farms. Insanity, considering many of these fields once housed corn and potatoes.
It’s a much different world than the pro-America world of yesteryear. It’s time to make America great again, but without the roadblocks caused by democrats/socialists/communists/liberals. When President Trump is elected for a second term, we will see a return to common sense, no wars, worldwide respect, low unemployment, low gas prices and a booming economy like we experienced in his first term.
God, I hope not. The emotional baggage he brings will just bring us a loss. He has also lost a lot of ground to DeSantis, who is my pick. Trump was the middle finger to the establishment we needed, but DeSantis is the more thoughtful, tasteful, option. Not to mention he was a member of the military, a lawyer, and a congressman. If Trump gets elected again, I would be glad, but cautious. photo from 2022 CPAC where I saw his speech, one or two days after the Ukraine war began.
Speaking of solar panels, I drove across the state 140 miles today. I saw many new solar farms I hadn't noticed before, all on farmland. Why not place them, say, on top of large box stores? Walmart, Target, etc? Those are flat-top buildings in areas not obstructed by trees, and I'm sure those corporations would show interest as it makes them look good, and it satisfies the 'green energy' agenda.
We don't have many here, but that sounds fair. The point is that there are many other places to put them besides on farmland that used to provide local produce. My town is very large in area - the outskirts are farmland, etc. Some of the fields have been hit with solar panels, but I fear the day they destroy the natural beauty of the fields and forests when they stretch on for miles and miles.
