President Biden yesterday criticized the GQP over their wacko attacks on Disney, saying the “far right has taken over the party.” Via CNN:

“This is not your father’s Republican Party,” Biden said at one point on Thursday, later adding: “It’s not even conservative in a traditional sense of conservatism. It’s mean, it’s ugly. I mean, look at what’s happening now in Florida: Christ, they’re going after Mickey Mouse.”

Second, if Disney (the corporation) twists and bastardizes a beloved character such as Mickey Mouse in order to push a radical, whacko, left-wing agenda on little impressionable children then any sensible person should fight back with everything in their arsenal. Bravo to DeSantis!

• A citizen has no less right to decline wearing a mask in public than another has to wear one.
• A society has no more right to suppress excellence than it has to expect the comfort and convenience developed therefrom.
  
• A radical leftist has no more right to get up in a conservative's face with his / her views than Donald Trump or other censored conservatives have to post his / their views on a free-speech platform.

No matter what you think of the culture wars (instigated by the left, no doubt, as implied the the fact my very movement is called conservatism) over Disney, the Democrat party including the BernieBros has randomly, suddenly pivoted into full corporation defense mode, getting mad about a massive corporation LOSING tax and safety regulation advantages.

The corporations have been hijacked. Obviously the Democrats talk a big game and the suckers fall for it every time. Anyone with two eyes could have seen Disney going super perverse an entire decade ago.

Only thing we can do is use our market power to vehemently avoid Disney, Disney+, and more. Unfortunately, I've done all I can as in never ever having any of those services, but others need to follow suit.

Yes, that's true! But when the left does that you guys call it "cancel" culture. I think it's only called cancel culture because the left is more disciplined in following through and enacting change with market pressure.

Organize others to follow suit, start a protest, write your local officials, there's so much more you can do to enact change.

No GW, you are wrong! Individual conservatives boycotting Disney is nothing like what the Left does.

The Left does not use market pressure at all. It convinces individuals they are powerless, collects the votes of those disenfranchised, and exerts influence in a different, disproportionate and undemocratic manner . . . Moreover, it lies, cheats and steals its way to what government, truly representative of individuals, cannot and should not deliver.

"Cancel culture" as it's been called has always been a collective boycott. The right only complains about it because boycotts actually work when the left does it. For as long as leftists have existed, their power has been organization of the masses and grassroots action. The whole point of leftist movements is that we're more powerful when we stand together.
