Hey Phoenix! Nice to chat with you again.

There are so many different kinds of Agnostics that it is easy to be confused about such a belief or non-belief if you will. I've heard every definition from they just don't care about the issue of God to they accept that they just don't an never will know the answer. I think the point is that Agnostics can pretty much take it or leave it.

If we don't believe in God and are wrong we lose everything. If we believe in God and are wrong we lose nothing.

The Breeding Agnostics agree with you, but the Non-Breeders say you're full of it. Me, I like your way of thinking and I too believe in my God (probably your's as well...) :)

    Take Care

    Pascal's wager

fail, because this is not even why you should choose to believe in a god.

besides that, what if you believe in the wrong god? Then you are just as much screwed as with us agnostics and atheists.

But, there is only one True God? It's not a matter of choosing the wrong "God" IMHO, it's a matter of choosing the wrong "faith" and way to follow God.

So essentially you are saying believe in God to cover your ass. Couldn't that same philosophy be applied to the monster under your bed? I'm not knocking your beliefs; I just think that there has to be a better reason to believe in something that you have absolutely no proof of than to just believe out of fear. If there is indeed a God, I think that this just wasn't his plan.

I also completely disagree with your second sentence. We lose so much when we give into mysticism and lose control of our own destiny. To say that we lose nothing is a bit of a stretch at best. I believe that there is good in all of us and bad in all of us and maybe that is where the concept of a good being and a bad being came from. In other words, God didn’t create us as much as we created God.

Yeah, I guess we could agree on that. Except for the egyptians, greeks, romans, etc. But I do like to think most try, but they don't try hard enough to find the truth if that makes sense.

You could just cover your ass and believe it whether it is true or not.

Some, but not all. I'm going to try to find that program, that tells of an egyptian tablet that talks about the God. It's an interesting show, and it helps answer a lot of questions.
