Arizona Senator Wendy Rogers has suggested that the Labor Day celebration is in fact a "Communist Holiday." Rogers did not expand upon her reasoning for criticizing the federal holiday, which takes place on the first Monday of September and celebrates the American workforce. "Labor Day is a Communist Holiday," the Republican tweeted on September 6. Her comments were met with mockery from other social media users. The Arizona House Democrats Twitter account tweeted in reply: "Says the heart and soul of Arizona's Republican Party (prove us wrong)." "You do realize that if you keep falsely calling all good things communist you're only going to make communism more attractive, no?" asked Twitter user @smenor. Condemning the tweet while paraphrasing her own words, writer Shiv Ramdas added: "'working is Communism.'" Arizona Senator Decries Labor Day as 'Communist Holiday' (msn.com)
What you don't know about a subject, and definitely have no interest about any subject you post or link you post, except to post under false colors, is not cleverness. It is stupidity. Read Roosevelt. Read Cleveland. Read Gompers. Read Engels. I am positive you will not do so, because, well, you enjoy being ignorant, and that way you can ignore self-guilt for being stupid and for posting. Edit disclosure: removed an "s" from "posts". I don't want to confuse the dufus reader.
Republicans have never had any interest in the workers of this country. They're just so stupid these days that they are saying it out loud now. Lifting those rocks sure has been an eye-opener. The things that crawl out just amaze the crap out of me.
Joe, Joe. Did you find the DD-214 so you can tell us what Armed Forces Branch of our Federal Republic you served? What do you care what any politician thinks or says, when you can't keep an organized thought in your brain long enough to make sense? You have already publicly confirmed ignorance and stupidity when you post about any subject. You are easily manipulated into believing politics is important in your life, and it is central to all your silly utterings, and the only way you can communicate with the world is politically. Bullets don't care, Little Joe. Bullets don't care.
Whoa! ...that's the Liberal talking point. Nothing could be further from the truth. Republicans care so much about workers and uplifting the poor that they fight labor unions at every turn. Labor unions are Marxists organizations that protect some members at the expense of every other worker. Liberals point to the few workers they enrich, and ignore all the non-Union workers out of work. The purpose of labor unions isn't to protect the worker from their employer, but rather to protect the worker from "other workers". Full version here...
people who didn't pay taxes on their social security checks should be happy to be taxed on it. have to make up for billionaires and millionaires tax cuts.
They were and they are taxed, dufus. My God, you are simply dense. Don't like it? Don't use it. Read Roosevelt. Not the horsey guy with a monocle in the museum movie ( I figure there is an excellent chance you know about Roosevelt because of the movie). You can't possibly know anything about him via scholarly research, because if you did, you would blow your head off for being so dumb.
https://www.ssa.gov/history/InternetMyths2.html Q3. Which political party started taxing Social Security annuities? A3. The taxation of Social Security began in 1984 following passage of a set of Amendments in 1983, which were signed into law by President Reagan in April 1983. These amendments passed the Congress in 1983 on an overwhelmingly bi-partisan vote. The basic rule put in place was that up to 50% of Social Security benefits could be added to taxable income, if the taxpayer's total income exceeded certain thresholds. The taxation of benefits was a proposal which came from the Greenspan Commission appointed by President Reagan and chaired by Alan Greenspan (who went on to later become the Chairman of the Federal Reserve). The full text of the Greenspan Commission report is available on our website. President's Reagan's signing statement for the 1983 Amendments can also be found on our website. A detailed explanation of the provisions of the 1983 law is also available on the website.
Then you actually used a credible source to discover that SS benefits ARE taxed. We are getting somewhere. there is a hope for you yet, child. Thank you for confirming my answer to you:
I assume. child, that you understand there is a proposal by the present administration to lower the SS age to 60. Would you like to borrow my abacus, or are you good using your Lincoln Logs, to figure stuff out?
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/dont-forget-social-security-benefits-may-be-taxable Yes, Joe is getting taxed. The average person working part time as a door greeter isn’t. Your the party of tax the Rich!
The big myth of "progressive" taxation is that income tax taxes the Rich. That's a myth. Income tax taxes the economy...big difference! Sure, the money comes from the Rich, but the Rich don't have it at home, under a mattress. It's in the economy, improving productivity and generating more income for everyone. When you "tax the Rich", you're pulling capital out of the economy which is devastating to the poor and middle class. Not only is direct taxation devastating to the poor and middle class, it destroys public oversight of government...which is why I think politicians and special interests love it so much. The alternative is the "Fair Tax". It's time our representatives at least debate the Fair Tax H.R. 25 (S. 18) "The Fair Tax Act of 2021". "The FAIRtax does more for the American worker than any other piece of legislation. The FAIRtax allows local people to take home their whole paychecks. The FAIRtax creates rather than destroys jobs. It allows Americans to own the fruits of their labor. By stripping out other taxes, the FAIRtax decreases the pretax prices of goods and services that we buy and use. It allows organizations to increase their wage and benefit packages to their employees. The FAIRtax helps union labor because it decreases the incentive to outsource operations to foreign countries. The FAIRtax allows workers to save for more a successful retirement by eliminating capital gains tax. People who invest the products of their labor can realize a higher return on their investments. Finally, the FAIRtax eliminates class warfare based on income." https://fairtax.org
