It is difficult in these situations to feel either joy or remorse because there are no winners. We have justice and maybe even closure but that doesn't begin to get back anything we have all lost. Only moving forward with justice will this entire event seem to have been worth the cost. That's a long way down the road from here.
Absolutely not. Here's how the city/police initially reported the incident: They were 100% ready to cover this up until the video came out. And people wonder why the police are distrusted.
This is beyond scary as it makes one wonder just how many times this happens throughout the country in any given year. We not only need bodycams but more bystanders taping everything. Police have to get it through their thick skulls that they are being watched VERY closely.
