Reich-Wingers Pulled Out Because They Can't Defend This Narcissistic Prick

It's not clear to me why the conservatives seem to have up stakes and scarpered. What is interesting is that they seem to have agreed amongst themselves that a tactical retreat was in order. Maybe it is as you say--a collective decision to abandon defence of the appalling current occupant of the White House. I have my doubts about that, since both CoinOKC and toughcoins seemed willing to compromise pretty much any principle in their attempts to justify Il Douche's terrible policies and puerile antics.

 

Exactly! They spent 8 years criticizing Obama for the nonsense the GOP made up and then transferred all that delusional conspiracy theory crap to Clinton and raged about absolutely anything Fox and Co. spewed but couldn't take 8 weeks of any of us telling the truth about the psychopathic, narcissistic, man-baby they and the Russians installed in the Oval Office. How pathetic is that?

 

Seems to me that most people on the Right and not a few on the Left are hardwired to think in absolutes. Everything must be either black or white, right or wrong, 100% or nothing. Then along comes Trump and introduces some major cognitive dissonance into the mix. For people of this mindset, but for whom facts still register on occasion, it becomes rough going.

That our friends on the Right have chosen to abandon the field rather than continue the fight could indicate that they are not totally divorced from reality. I hope that this is the case. Unfortunately, millions of their comrades can't or won't see it. Or even worse, totally get it and think it's the greatest thing ever. That's my brilliant analysis anyway.

 

I like the quiet more than I like their noise.
