So, who here wishes success to our incoming president? Conversely, who would like to see him fail?

I will bet everyone here could easily assign success/fail to every other participant with 100% accuracy.

Thanks for responding, RLM. Anyone else?

I do. I wish every success for our soon to be president. I also pray for the safety of him and his family. Everyone here ought to do the same, even if you can't stand him. (I'm not telling anyone here what to do, just expressing a thought.)

That said, I have decided not to attend the inauguration (which I have applied for tickets to.). The amount of haters that might be there scare me too much. I have mailed a congratulatory card instead.

Great post, LucyRay! It reminds me of when Obama was elected. I couldn't stand his policies (still don't), but I wanted him to succeed in the sense that I love America and I want ANY president to do the most for its citizens. Unfortunately, Obama failed miserably in that regard.

However, he is still our president and, even though I don't like his policies, I still respect the office he holds and I cherish the democratic ideals that put him there. I would never contemplate rioting in the streets like we've seen from liberals.

Yes, these liberals can be very, very violent and it's a sad day when a citizen like yourself feels so threatened that he or she can't feel secure enough to personally witness a transfer of power in a democratic society.

Truly, I wish President-Elect Trump tremendous success in healing the divide we have in our country, is successful in reinvigorating our economy for the benefit of all our citizens and can put an end to all this liberal nonsense that has been heaped upon us for too long.

My advice is to attend the inauguration, if possible. It's an historic time in American history and you'll want to look back and be able to say you were there. Stand there with your head held high and if any freedom-hating liberals try to hurt you, kick their ass and don't think twice about it.

Do you think something atrocious could happen there? Million woman March begins there the next day, protesting Trump. The chaos, I can't even imagine how much chaos! My best friend is willing to go, but we both are scared of the protestors. Ten years ago, fear would never have crossed my mind! Ha ha! 59 in three days..

Go. Definitely go. You're one of his strong supporters. Go and add your voice to the chorus.

Been awhile since my last post
    .
But PREZ. TRUMP is already a success in my book keeping that no good lying corrupt above the law old hag from ever seeing/taking up residence in the peoples house ever again.
So at this point if he only accomplishes 1/3 of what he said he wants to do
it will be a HUUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE success.

I do however hope that this nation of laws we the people have built will stop the corruption against the will of said people and send that lying hag back into living with the middle class deplorable folk she seems to think is beneath her and have to work and live paycheck to paycheck.

That humility would be better than any jail sentence that would/could be served.

    I gotta resurrect this thread.

Now that Donald Trump is our president, I'd like to hear opinions from others on this forum who would like to see him succeed in making our country great again.

I'd also like to hear opinions from those who would like to see him fail and see us return to the dark abyss we've been in for the last 8 years.
