No, its wrong. Its been proven to give autism, and should be banned.

Actually, there is no proven link between autism and mercury, just a hunch.

ok, but why risk it. Autism has gone up a lot since we shot those kids up with merc.

Again, as much as I'd like to see that there is a link, the studies just don't support it.

oh, the studies paid for by Merck? Sounds like those studies that Exxon paid for that "prove" there is no global warming.

I do not know why you have to keep going on about President Bush the way you do, this man is not going to be in office after this term. You are always posting a link to something you read, or saw on TV, or a poll you found to bad mouth this man . He can't rerun for office find something else or someone else to run your mouth off about or [IMG]
it's old news my man move on to what ever.

Our friends had an autistic child, so when their second was born, the avoided the vaccines. But the second child also had autism. A sample family of one doesn't prove anything, but in this case something other than vaccines was at work.

Danr, I know a bit more than you about this subject and have three kids ta boot. You make it sound simple and it is a fairly complicated issue.

Back in the day that was the only way they could keep them fresh. It goes back to the theory of is it better to sacrifice one to save the many?

It's also worth noting that there is fluoride - also a known poison, although not deadly at mercury levels - in most municipal drinking water.

Maybe if we didn't turn to a drug, vaccine, inhaler, pill, nebulizer, etc. whenever we caught a cold, had a sniffle, or the such we'd be a lot better off. I think half of our health problems are caused by the drugs we put into our systems, by the companies telling us how sick we are all going to get and that every little problem has a solution as long as we put "this" into our bodies. Well I'll tell you in the past three years I've tossed every perscription the docs have given me into the trash and have put no medicine in me stronger than aspirin, throat lozenges, and the occassional swig of malox after spicy thai curry and I haven't felt better. Get the flu drink some OJ and some chicken noodle, blow your nose a cople hundred times and get over it. Getting sick occasionally is your body's way of strengthening you in the long run.

So you let your kids get the mercury shots? I did some research and had my little girl get the non merc option. You have to insist on it but they will do it.

Let's look at the Mumps Measles Rubella (MMR) vaccine. This vaccine was developed and put into use in 1967, the height of the Vietnam War and near the end of Lyndon Baines Johnson's tenure, a Democrat, not that it makes any difference which polotical party his affiliation was, the medicine was needed.

I had the mumps and it was no fun. Two weeks with your head swollen and laying on you back so they wouldn't spread. Sadly, the alternative is very negative...

I'm sure there are many reasons (pork attached) you probably know but haven't mentioned exactly why this bill isn't getting signed into law...

Yes, and you started this thread because the President was going to veto it, if he was not then this thread would not be here.
